Very nice run Ranger... IT seems you have some nice tweaks that you use to get such a good score with a lower CPU speed...
It is true that you are #3 until I submit my older score.. But I do have a trick or two :D :D up my sleeve and I want my #2 back :D
Well I finally broke 14K

How does that work? I am updating your score but you went down in speed... FSB from 180 to 170, GPU Core from 645 to 630...Quote:

Also the speed doesnt add up... 13x170 = 2.21 now 2.26 :) So which is correct?

Colossus, you were right I was just going by what 3D Mark had listed it is 2.21, I changed it.:) The reason for the differant speeds is I am now using my new Abit NF7, inwhich my PC3000 was incompatable and I have some new ram on the way, but I was just playing around with my 2 256mb sticks of PC2100 crucial in DCDDR mode to see what kind of score I could get with it and how high I could go with it on my NF7 , my other score was done with my Aopen(KT400). Not a bad score at all with a lower fsb, BTW my Crucial was running at Turbo speeds when I did the test 7 2 2 2.5 these Nforce MB`s sure do rate ram differantly then others. The reason for the lower memory settings for the video card is that it is hot today and I can`t run it at the 645mhz setting. Sorry for the long explaination

it seems i might drop out of the 3dmark race soon.. ive decided to pick up a Samsung SyncMaster 172W .. its a amazing monitor.. its a flat LCD wide screen.. OH MAN!:eek: :D :D I CAN'T WAIT!
the only sacrafice is that i'm selling my current mobo/cpu to my friend, and in exchange he is giving me his MSI kt3ultra 2 with a 1600+@ 2200+ speeds (and enough cash to get the monitor).. oh man i can't wait to see this baby run, LOL.. and since im building my cousin a computer at the end of the month i'ma just going to use the money she gives me to buy a p4 system again..and give her my current one to her! lol.. oh man i can't wait to see the monitor.
but i might just change my mind and pick up a ABIT IC7-G now and get the monitor later.. lol
Come on Sharkpinoy, what am I without having to worry about you catching me:D :D Seriously, If you like the monitor and that's what is important to you, go for it. 3DMarks brings much frustration and throws you a little joy once in a while when you get a good score. The monitor will make you happy everyday.
A monitor (especially an LCD) is a good investment because they don't depreciate as fast as other hardware (especially mobos/cpu's!). Wise choice. :)
And really, when it comes down to it - did you really need all that speed? :)
Sure ya do... I mean 20K 3DMarks will mean you're life will be more enjoyable...;)

I will also have a a few new benchmarking score to submit... Last night was pretty damn productive!!! :D
