someday...I'm going to read this entire thread...but that'll only happen if I wind up with broken legs or something and I can't move...
dude 745 is way high, mine only goes to 600 and how did you get your athlon fsb to 181??? mine struggles at 138 but of course my mobo blows!Quote:

He has a Ti4600, you have a Ti4200 (my 4600 does 336/776). His 1600+ is a newer stepping than your 1800+ (my 1600+ is at 1.96Ghz). The older stepping chips will not hit high FSB without an unlock (even then your mobo won't allow multi change), where as mine runs at 187Mhz FSB locked (saps has his at 188Mhz FSB). :)Quote:

just did a fresh install, because my driver choices were becoming more and more limited...at one point i could only use the 22.80's. after the fresh install, and installing the 40.71 driver, i got a new high score of 9562 (see link at bottom of sig). ti500 was clocked at 260/590 and the 1800+ at 1672Mhz. as it gets colder here i can run my 1800+ at 1710 and the ti500 at 267/590
woah....getting higher already....9736 and climbing :D
as usual, check the sig for a compare link
Good job man, I would like to see 10K on that thing... push her ;)Quote:

The combination of my additional winter mod cooling and those new 40.72's has pushed me up nearly 300 points from my previous high. If I could just keep this level of OC at 187FSB/1.97Ghz I'd be quite close to 14K. Still this score is good enough for the front page of my like-type rigs
as you wish sir....Quote:

10237, go check it out in the link in my sig. man i gotta say that between this fresh install, sp3, and new detonator drivers that actually work (the last being the reason i reformatted & reinstalled), this 'ol computer has really stretched it's legs, and i'm damn pleased :D
Anyone GeForce4 users know if you get better marks in Build 300 or build 330 of 3DMark2001? Back when I had a GeForce3 Ti200 on Build 330 I would lose like 200 points.
Interesting thought jago
As many know I'm up ~300 points recently supposedly thanks to 40.72. However, here's some additional knowledge for you to ponder over. My previous run was 13085 done on a 177FSB with a 310/610 VC on the 40.41's with I believe build 300. Since the last record run I have re-installed XP, added XP SP1, got the 40.72 and this run was done on a 179FSB which is really 180FSB in wcpuid and everywhere else. Oh also since I reinstalled XP I had to re-grab 3DMark so this is now build 330. I mention this to suggest that perhaps the 40.72's are not the sole factor responsible for my gains. Certainly some credit must be given to the 2 extra FSB I am testing with compared to last time. Others will need to weigh in with their results before we know just how much credit to give to 40.72
Good job Saps...couldn't let a Ti4200 win though he heQuote:

I was just getting comfortable where I was, now I gotta push even harder
I did some comparing with the 40.72 drivers myself in the other thread about someone getting 13K 3dmarks. I believe I posted my results on page 3. I compared UT2003 and 3DMark2001 Build 300 and the 40.72's were just a wee tab slower than the 40.41's in my experience in both UT2003 & 3Dmark.Quote:
