I might be able to set up another server. What kind of hardware requirements are we looking at? My parents are probably going to get a T1 line for our house (hell yay!). But if that falls through I've still got (what seems to me) to be a fast connection. What kinda of stats are you guys looking for for a connection? I have no bandwidth limits, and I'm just about the only person that uses the net in my house. My dad occationally uses a VPN to connect to work, but that's for maybe 3 hours a day. For BF1942 you need a pretty fast machine if you dont have a dedicated server. If is going to be dedicated i would guess atleast 1ghz or so with 512mb of ram.
the only problem with CD is traffic to the server will decrease and tehre are not enough regulars there to create a substantial player base (as in people constantly in the server)
i would say hold off on CD for a few months and just get more admins to watch over the server more often
