That kind of answers it. It was more of a rant that needed some support from other modders, but I know I could have done cable management better. The back side of my mobo tray is a mess as well, with electrical, duct, and masking tape holding up most of the wires. I've been thinking about picking up the clips for it to make it nicer, and doing the tube sleeving similar to what you did. I should have time next week, so I might be able to get that up and going.

I still have the issue of removing everything when I have to change coolant...but that's more of a WC thing than it is a cable management issue. Oh well, quid pro quo...

Its kinda messed up that he changed the rules like that. What if you wanted to use the prizes in a new Case MOD.

Thats Insane.. They going to send you the money to buy the other supplies to complete a MOD, There parts wouldn't be enough to make a MOD... I don't understand how they can tell you, in order to move to next stage we want an all new mod.. Thats wouldn't be the MOD that got you to that point. Some MODS depend alot on outside factors IE: Etching, Custom Grills, etc..

Lets hear from Tech-Daddy and see if we are understanding the New Rules Correctly..

Yes, it will be a new mod for round 3.

Honestly, if you think about it, it completly levels the playing field. Everyone is starting from the same place, and everyone has essentially the same equipment pool to start from. How much more/little you add to that pool is up to you and your wallet!

"Yes", I got the other additional cables/fans for a different mod. I had the "case after this one" in mind for these items... however it looks like some of them will make their way into this case. I will be buying a few more things that I need to make this mod something special. (fingers crossed)

So, to the end, it will be a new, completely different case. It will need to be completed within the 2 months time frame (they are talking about end of November now, instead of mid November)... so.... let's see where this takes us!

Does this mean you have to get a new Mobo, CPU, Ram, HD's etc. to have a complete running system?? If so that would suck some.. I would hate to think you would strip one down to complete another even if was only Temporary.

but I already have the mobo, I've got Some Crucial Ballistix Tracer (PC4000) memory on the way, I've got a line on a CPU (AMD64, not sure what flavor yet) and I'm talking to another vendor for a video card! ;)

All sponsored items were contingent upon me making it to round 3, and I stressed to them the onus of the responsibility is foir me to reach round 3. If I did not make it, then they had no obligation.

Yes sir! Just like what you just wrote! I can't wait on that check! I have some SERIOUS plans for it! There is one company on ebay that is going to say a BUNCH of that money. Going to pick up a lot of airbrushing equipment, instructional videos, air brush gun, and some base paints to learn with.

Also looking at some power equipment for the bench (sanding station, a portable sandblasting gun, coping saw, micro files, etc.) and I am going to rat hole $500 of it for a 7800 class video card, depending on the outcome of the Coolermaster competition.

And, of course my wife gets some mad money too! ;)
