Finally got around to doing what I wanted to. Here are my pics, nothing much, but I think my ghetto cabling looks a lot better than your standard multi colored crap coming out of the power supply.

I also decided to do away with my SK-7 for a bit just to give my ears a break. I figure since I am in my computer every weekend anyways, I can just stick it back on if I want ;). So far this thing is a lot nicer with those 2 Antec fans as exhaust instead of the 2 Sunon's. We'll see what happens. :)
edit: ***?!?!?! I can't ever get these things right. It is always just red X's, I am using netfirms. i use https://www.sharkyforums.com/ and still nothing. Oh well, click on the links instead
edit: Click and drag, I will resize later see if that helps. :o
i really like the two or three computers in this thread.
the rest of you should probably get correctly working webspace.
What is that Compaq card in the background in the Audigy.jpg???? I know its a Compaq sticker on the corner. :DQuote:

I did run out of legos to cover up the CD, and with the color scheme of grey ones at the top, just decided to leave it like that instead of mish mashing several colors together to make a panel.
The whole thing is suprisingly strong. If you imagine it being split down the middle, there is a wall right behind the motherboard making sure it doesn't touch anything metal, and also giving it a bit more strength. The whole thing is incredibly stronger than you would imagine.
Thanks everyone for the kind words and such, I am thinking about taking it apart and going with the first design (Kinda like a regular tower) but add in a couple of custom shaped windows and some other effects.
Hmm.. you know, come to think about it, I have some motorized Knex stuff laying around....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Ahh you guessed it :D That is a Vodoo3 1000 (I think) that I had at home. I was using a Trident card from like 1996, that I picked up at a PC junk store about 2 or 3 years ago. I decided I would treat myself to a nice Vodoo while I wait for the 9800 Pro to come out so I can pick up a 9700. :) I have 2 leftover Compaq PC's in my house, and sometimes I use their innards when I need stuff. Maybe I can sell one to some unsuspecting guy for some dough. :)Quote:

Here are some pictures of my main PC that i've been modding / adding bits to other the past few weeks and I would like some comments, suggestions and ideas on what to do / change / add or remove

http://www.da014a0002.pwp.blueyonder.../FrontMain.jpg
This is an overview of the front of my PC, you can't really see much of the lights because the flash drowns it all out.
http://www.da014a0002.pwp.blueyonder...FrontMain2.jpg
This is a close-up of the LCD screen with my nice message displayed, taken without the flash so you can see more of the lights.
http://www.da014a0002.pwp.blueyonder.../NeonFront.jpg
This is a front view of my PC without the LCD screen enabled and without the flash. The neon string is green and goes all around the drives in the 5.25" and 3.5" bays. The front fans at the front are also green, the camera doesn't seem to pick the colour up very well but they are dark green IRL :)
www.da014a0002.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Overview.jpg
This is a side-on view of my whole PC, taken without the flash and with all the cathodes and neon strings turned on.

This is a side-on view of my whole PC, taken without the flash and with all the cathodes and neon strings turned on and without the side window panel on.
www.da014a0002.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/FullPic.jpg
This is another side-on view of my whole PC but taken from a different angle than the one above :p
I think this helps show my window etch with neon string better because the other lights don't get in the way.
www.da014a0002.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Left.jpg
This is the left side of my PC, showing the fans / ram with the new active heat sinks I got recently and the graphics card and sound card etc.
www.da014a0002.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Middle.jpg
This is the middle of my PC with the lights on, the cables could probably be tidied up a little better but it's really hard to do because I tidied them up as much as possible already.
www.da014a0002.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Right.jpg
This is the right side of my PC showing lots of grubby hand prints all over the inside of my case :p
The hand prints can't be seen unless looking at the case about 2cm away but the flash pics them up really badly :(
www.da014a0002.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/TopFans.jpg
This is a close-up of my top fans from a better angle. They're the Akasa Nebula ones with the hurricane fan grills.
http://www.da014a0002.pwp.blueyonder...BottomFans.jpg
This is a close-up of my bottom fans from a better angle. They're the Akasa Nebula ones with the Biohazard fan grills. I know the top one is upside down but I thought it looked like a gas mask upside down and so it goes with the biohazard theme :p
The reason for my choice in colours on the fans is I thought green on the front for cool air going in and red fans on the back for hot air going out :)
The cathodes are blue because I thought I would stick with an overall blue / red theme that the Lian-Li case has with the front HD and power LED's.
I'm currently thinking of getting 4 more smaller window etch's for around the sides of the window and maybe some neon strips to go around the window itself but so far they don't do a hot red strip just the silly pink looking red :(
Comments, suggestions and ideas are appreciated because I'm always on the lookout to add something else.
Thanks for reading.
I have the same case :) The Enermax 710!!! :)
Me too, but i have the B version. The price and the PSU were really nice. Thrill, that powercable really gets in the way. Do what i did, stick it with a zip tie to one of the cross-bars above the mobo.Quote:

Thrill, You are missing a screw on one of your hard drives. :) Please screw in that last screw there on the bottom hard drive :D
If you're going to nit-pick, he's missing the right one on the top and the left one on the bottom :D
I had all that nice and clean until I put in my NFORCE2. I just haven't gotten around to cleaning it up again.Quote:

That's what happens when you can't wait to try out a new motherboard/processor/video card, you put in just enough to hold everything in place then finish it up right later. :)Quote:

Well I got lazy and didn't really do anything fancy to my server... I do have 760GB's of HD space though. :D
Copy and paste into browser... http://www.geocities.com/alextyshchuk/servercase.JPG
Very nice there, I really like the HD that sits on the other one :)
Heh, yes that free-hanging HDD is amusing. It's what I have to do with my buddy's HP pavilion sitting behind me, there just arent 3 HDD slots, so there is only one alternatve. Get a long IDE and sit it on top of or on the side of my case, or put it on top of something else.
Solving your image problems:
The link is very well clickable, but when it boots in a new window put a "?" after it, and it'll load fine.
Finally got the Split Wire Loom I was looking for (Chrome). My New Round IDE & Floppy Cables with Light Kit came also. I'm finished for now. Here it is.

I like that Chrome Look. Man its busy in that case..
I just wanted to post a updated PIC of Big Blue.

I like the idle blue glow towards the bottom. Then again im guessing you toned down the ISO on the cam, so its brighter isnt it?Quote:

Did you use a big washer to secure the fans without using the fancage?
The fans in the front are 92mm, & yes they have washers and nuts to secure them. The rear ones are in the fan holders I just removed the ugly handles that stuck out. The glow is from the CC on the bottom. The flash was on not sure about he ISO, its an Auto Kodak DC280. Work Nice... THANKS:p
AH now i see it, its shinign through the panel holders. The front really fits 92mm's? Wow...i might do that to reduce the noise once this system goes into the closet to be a server.Quote:

Edit: Turns out Im just a n00b. :p I have a new configuration actually now, I will get a quick pic in a minute. :)
Second edit: New cooling http://fox302.com/userdata/steveng/f...cs/Cooling.jpg
Royal Oaks, are those 2 rear fans both tornadoes? if so, can you hear them outside?
Negative. I'm not that crazy. Actually those are 2 Antec fans that came with my case :p. Actually now I have all 3 Sunon's workin in my case. I have one Antec as exhaust & 1 Sunon as exhaust as well. Still waiting for my TT fan to get back to me so I can get back to my old configuration, but for the time being, this thing is doing well considering my 90F ambient. :rooleyes:Quote:
