we definately need more folders, or some of the old folders should come back and support the team again.
we have the potential to be much larger than we currently are - there are nearly 35,000 users here at sharky, yet we have less than 300 folding members, and only a 1/4 of those 300 are even active. that equates to about 0.2% of the total sharky forum population. imagine our output if that number were to rise to, say 1% or more :eek:
plus, you're not just competing agaisnt other folding teams, your helping to find a cure for many diseases, including parkinson's, alzheimer's, various forms of cancer, huntingtons, ALS, and more.
furthermore, it's a terrific way to test stability of an overclocked system, does not interfere with normal usage of the computer, and, if you're in cold climates for the winter and have several computers running folding@home, it's a great way to heat your room (like me)...seriously
