I'm a huge Roenick fan, I love that he's enjoyed such a resurgence in SJ.

Back to the days of Vernon and Roy taking a fight to center ice.. One of the coolest hockey moments ever..Quote:

Anybody see Roy's son dish out the beatdown in juniors? The other goalie looked like he wanted no part of it but got PUMMELED anyways.
Jeez, Patty has a kid old enough to fight? I am getting old.
I think my team is headed for disaster vs Montreal, but I'm proud of them for even getting into the playoffs at all.
It will however be amusing to watch 20,000+ french canadians boo Danny Briere every time he does anything, as they did in both regular season games up there. I'm going to say Habs in 6.
Philly did well this year after the disaster that was last year. A nice improvement! I wonder what they'd done if Gagne was healthy?
My predictions fior this next round:
Montreal over Philly
Pittsburgh over Rangers
Detroit over Colorado
San Jose over Dallas
I don't like the Rangers at all, but I'll have no problem pulling for them to stomp Pittsburgh. I think NY is the more complete team, but the pens have such incredible top line scoring that Lundqvist is going to have to be amazing to see it through. Rangers in 6, this is the **** that Avery was born for. He's going to have Crosby begging for his mommy.
The Avs and Detroit will be another great series. Colorado has been playing lights-out and Adam Foote is looking like an old-guard stopper from hell. The avs are a nice reunion story. The Wings are a powerhouse like always, both teams can score. I think this one will boil down to whichever defense keeps it's head on straight. Lidstrom in other words, so Wings in 7.
I think SJ /Dallas is a complete toss up. Both have made the right deadline pick-ups for their squad to succeed, both have good D and goal keeping. I give SJ an edge on offense, although the Stars have really surprised everyone the last couple of months in that regard.
The funny thing about Philly and the Habs will be to see how hard they try *not* to get penalized. We're talking about the #1 and #2 powerplays in the league, so composure and discipline will win it here. And that's why the Flyers will probably be golfing soon. They've been eating **** from the refs all year, and guys like Downie and Hartnell get called for sneezing at other players based on reputation. So, MTL is going to score a pile of goals on the PP, and out goes Philly. /excuses:D
I'm going to the Avs/Red Wings game on Tuesday! Snatched a couple tickets for only 47 bucks each this is going to be awesome!
Holy Crap!Quote:

One of my friends girlfriends aunts or something to do with that works at the Pepsi center doing something somehow and I ended up landing a deal. HHAHAHAHAHAHA
Lets all laugh at the Avalanche. Let it out.
I just don't think that the Avs are in the same league as Detroit talent wise.
I'd sure like to see the Avs win the series or at least make it a long grueling deal for the Wings though.
sharks down 2-0 in the series. Choke artist since 91. It's really getting old guys.
Not only are we not skating but nabby is looking like a rookie. The only vezina trophy finalist that has looked good so far is henrik in N.Y.
I watched the SJ game from about halfway through the second, saw Michalek rifle one by Turco for the lead before the intermission.
Then there was a strange blip among many direcTV customers where the Vs. channel feed switched to Shotime for a few minutes. When the feed switched back, Dallas had scored two they and never looked back.
Nabby didn't have a great game, it happens. I thought SJ was playing pretty well, but Dallas is just surprisingly good right now.
Geez...
Are the Stars really this good, or are SJ and Anaheim both just really inept?!?
The Stars on paper don't look like that great of a team...
How did the sharks win so many games this season??? It seemed at time Dallas was in the offensive zone for a couple minutes at a time and they weren't even on the power play. Special teams has been bad for the Sharks so far, don't think they can win with such poor special teams.

Soooooo I went to the game tonight as well....I got FREE SUITE LEVEL tickets. Buuuut the Avs lost as to be expected. The Red Wings are a better team than the Avs in every way. Too bad. Maybe they'll win ONE for me on thursday :(
Wow... blowouts this round!
SJ looks to be rolling over and dying. As does Colorado (though they made it close last night).
I watched the sharks crumble yet again... Even though Nabby had a good game, for once in this series, we still can't score for crap. We have no penetration in the center of the ice. The Dallas D has been extremely good at keeping everything to the perimeter.
It was a fun run for us, I guess, now poor Ron will be looking for a new job this offseason. With a team this talented to be swept in the second round.
At least the Western conference finals will be interesting Det. vs. Dal. and I honestly think the Pens will come out of the east. They have yet to lose a game.
it seemed there was no bodies in front of Turco the whole night, while the Stars always had someone in front of Nabokov. And where are the Sharks star players this round???
They went to bed. Thinking of the great off time they will have playing golf. I'm officially rooting for the Pens.Quote:
