Since I am benching my GF4 card :) I am testing about 10 different nvidia drivers from 30.82 - 45.23.. So I will give my results which is the best with DX 8.1 :)

Then maybe if I have time, I will do some 2003.. But I dont see that happening... right now...

I unintentionally did a similar thing with about seven or eight drivers using DX9.0b. Solely for 3DMark2K1 the order for me was :40.72, 42.01, 42.82, 42.86, 41.09, 43.45, 44.03, 45.23. Take from this what you will. In real games like Serious Sam or UT2K3 the order is different.

Regarding 3DMark03, 42.68 was my fastest with the 42.8x's right behind.

Well you inspired me to benchmark with my older card :) I still love my GF4 4400 card and it still does amazing well in games (since I really dont use AA/AF.. Well I started to play around with AF more now)...

But so far.. 40.71 is the fastest for me.. I will have to complete my runs... I didnt get any 42.x (I dont believe so)... I only downloaded official drivers from nvidia...

I didn't use 40.71 in my tests but I seem to recall it being right there with 40.72 in terms of 3DMark2001

So far the 40.71 are the fastest.. Beating the 40.72 by a whole 40 points! BTW: I run the test 3 times to see what kind of flux :)

Eeeh 41.09 is the best so far... ~50 points over 40.71 :)

Ouch!
45.23 sucked!!! I lost about ~800 points with it...

I thought about giving some 42.xx a shot.. But I will later :D

Well I am done with the official release drivers...

So far 43.45 was the fastest.. By atleast 100 points over 41.07 :)

Now its time to see what she can do!!!!

Just goes to show different systems can prefer different drivers. 43.45 was one of my worst, several hundred lower than 40.72. That's why even if its so time consuming you gotta test them for yourself.

What is sweet, is that I am almost over 17k!!!!

The worst driver for me was the latest from nvidia by atleast 1000 points (give or take)..

But this was done on Windows XP.. Was yours on XP or 2000? That can influence the scoring a little as well :)

I just noticed I might sail past Opstar's 170xx score with his 5800 Ultra!!! How sad.. I am going to score higher! :D But I do have some advantage :D Such as a higher raw speed :D

Score! Thanks guys. Been watching this webpage and the Team webpage for about a month. Bought all my stuff, tweaked and then decided once i got it to where i wanted it ( still could tweak it some, but havent yet) then i would try and join. Thanks for letting me in!

Just a little info...

Finding a AIW 9700 np or Pro bios is a pain. I flashed my bios without backing it up ( stupid, i know) but thanks to a few folks they sent me a copy of their bios, and then i was in business. Took me a while to get that all running, and nothing can piss you off more than jacking up a 200 dollar card within the first 20 seconds of getting it :) Yes i am a n00b. :) hehe jk

New score - #6 overall

Not ground shattering, but it is the fastest 2.4C, and faster than a few 2.8C's. :) And it was done with stock video cooling and a Zalman (read - 'hotter than stock' :D) CPU cooling. AND I only ran it once, so I'm betting there's more gas left in the tank. :D Only 150 points behind Colossus, and that coveted #5 spot! :) Anyway...

CPU overclocked: 3.37Ghz
Memory: 5:4, 2-3-3-6, 2x256 TwinX3200LL (btw, found out it can do 240DC @ 2-3-3-6! :eek: )

My P4 chip is not performing as it did before :( I cannot even get it to 250FSB now :(

This sucks.... Sigh, Well I guess its time for a new CPU :D

After the Troll test hit the escape button. I was doing driver tests and tweak settings hence the lower clocks. Within the next day I'll try a max load. Hopefully 2K will be mine
