That is all interesting. I have 3 intel systems and 1 amd system folding. I don't have any problems with it sending work units in. As of right now my 2500+ isn't overclocked. Are anyone of you who have these problems have your cpu overclock?

i know some people here have had some problems, i personally think all my dropped wu's are because of overclocking a step too high.Quote:

i've always had my 2500+ at 2.18ghz on stock volts and it's been just fine with folding@home, i would imagine you could get yours around there with no extra voltage and it would be stableQuote:

who started/created SETI?
I am not going to leave Sharky, simply because I love this forum... but I have to admit, I feel akward being a Berkeley student and supporting a standford operation. (Yet, in the whole scope of things, knowing that it is for the greater good, I put my pety hesitations aside:D )
But I heard rumor that seti start at Berkeley; is that true?
I would have it running at 3200+ speeds(2.2ghz), but my memory is pc2700 so it will not run very stable. Earlier I had it running at 2.2ghz with my memory overclocked to speeds of pc3200. I ran prime95 and folding@home for 14 hours without any errors. Then I played Call of Duty for 2 hours and my computer shutdown. So I had to go back to original speeds(1.83). In the future when I get some faster memory speed(pc3200 or even higher) then I'll have if run at speeds 2.2 ghz and even high. Man that would make a nice folding machine. I would probably give me like an extra 80ppw.Quote:

I have had core 78 for a while now, is this a rewrite of the 78 core? Or are all 78 cores bata?Quote:

I guess if you don't need it now, they say your core will automatically update sometime in the near future.:D
i have no idea, what i've read hasn't said much...here's the only other link i've gotten info from..folding forumsQuote:

I'm not sure what they did to the 78 core, it appears it's still a beta version, but will become final and automatically replace the old 78 cores if it doesn't show any problems.:)
from what i've gathered it's a rewritten core 78, in an attempt to fix some of the gromacs/AMD/SSE problems.Quote:

OK, I was just wondering. I loaded it on the Hammer and 4 of the 3000+'s last night.
I just noticed that I'm well over 5K points, so I guess the milestones page needs updated!
:) Fold on:)
Wow something is seriously messed up with the folding stats page all I see is this

1 vertices 129 2
2 Gus 71 1
3 Y3K 71 1

Go vertices your #1!
that's not right...Y3k is a few places behind me, and i'm in the 50's. Thermo is still #1, what site is telling you this?
I also have 2700 memory, but my 2500+ was unlocked, so my FSB is at 180 and my multiplier at 12.5. Using an Epox 8rda3+ mobo.Quote:

Yeh, i was ready to break 2000 points for Sharky :| and it looks as if it has reset itself. Strange... and mildly annoying.
Oh and how did we halve our team ranking in such a short time (like, one day). I can't access the stats site anymore (due to too many connections) but it seems like every team has been reset...
Yea I just checked out stats in the search function on Folding@home website. It says out team has 1256 points.
I wonder if its a timely thing or if its reset for good.
Just a thought... Whoever wants to change your folding username, then here is a good chance since all the points are reset. You have nothing to lose. I changed my username from "Petryxa" to "Fedka." Best of all I haven't lost any points.
Heh, we're now 29th worldwide.
well i know for sure that thermo should be in first place, unless vert picked up like 10000+ points in a day or less(and thermo didn't produce any)....i think the servers must have reset or something...i just checked eoc again and now it's all messed up...anyone know what's going on?
edit: i'm not saying you're lying, but the servers had to have gotten messed up...none of this looks right...:(
it now says that they are down for maintenance... an error in the database perhaps?
are you talking about eoc? if so, it updates like that every 3 hours at about this time, so that's normal. I have no idea when this will get fixed...:(Quote:

eoc?
I've never received an error where it is down for maintenance... I have gotten errors where they say they are currently updating or that there are too many users connected.
hey guys...i've been folding, but school has been kicking me in the butt...oh well. i finally come back to this? server's down for maintenance? a possible reset of the servers?!!  guess that would make it easier to get a higher ranking right away! :) any more news on that?
doesn't look like EOC is up and running right either....it's up, but look at how many of our guys have sudenly jumped WAY into the red, meaning turned in over 10-20k in the last 24 hours....something is seriously jack foo-ed....Quote:
