i'm sorry i'm really slacking guys...i've had problems and lack of motivation, coupled with extensive gaming to destress myself between finals....:(
don't worry about it man. atleast you can still have fun using your computer. the fun i get from my computer these days is checking folding and how much i've done. now i know it's going towards a good cause, but man! why do i have a computer if this is all i do?!!Quote:

Heh, that's what I was asking myself tonight. I paid $500 for a videocard in order to play games "the way they're meant to be played" and all I do is Folding@Home lol. Although, Folding is as challenging and fun as any game I play. Unlike a game though, Folding is NEVER a waste of time. Since I can't play games, I guess I'll just study more. :D

Gotta play and gotta fold -- do both, don't stress out when you shut down F@H for a few hours -- that's why we're a TEAM. :D
Folding is so much easier now that I am catching up on that liver exercise I missed while learning how to get a job in IT...
i know that...and i do play games every once in a while. right now speedy and i are so close that i am just kind of more concerned with the competition internally rather than externally. but whatever. it will be back to gaming for me soon. especially after exams end!! :)Quote:

RealBeast is right. I pause my fastest computer from time to time to play COD; no sin in that! What we need to do is convince others to join so the slack can be picked up during game time!;)

Well I started, my Pentium 4 2.6c is running most of the time while my pentium 4 1.4Ghz will be running non-stop. Why does my P4 2.6C only run at 50% CPU Usage/.

I may just turn off hyperthreading, it is what is keeping my video capture card from working also.Quote:

Leave HT on -- that is probably not your video capture problem, and HT is a good thing. It can run stuff more efficiently, it lets me run two F@H consoles on my P4Cs that do about 15% or so more WUs per week than one console.Quote:
