Ya I saw that, no clue what they are counting. F@H hase me at 993 right now.

I think Vertices is about 6 thousand points ahead of me still, that should put him up around 700th I would think, perhaps higher.

Just got the move done and I've got 7 machines up on my "new" network, 8 machines to go -- should be set up by Sunday night when I find all the machines and cables that the movers boxed up randomly in unmarked cartons. :eek:

I'm stepping things up a little just added two more cpus courtesy of a friend.

Also will be losing a 1.6gig willy...... ,but will be replacing it with a 2600 barton ;)

Was slow going there for a while there all I had on every computer was tinkers still mostly do ,but on occassion im getting gromacs here and there now.

what is the deal with everyone BUT me getting tinkers? i've had 1 or 2 here and there, but the vast majority of mine have been gromacs all this time

Before I stopped... I had mostly Gromacs, from 29 points - 70.7 points...

Very little tinkers...

Your not the only one.

Has anyone noticed frame times going up with their P4 rigs since the new core with the optimizations for AMD? It seems my frame time used to be ~5 minutes and now it's ~7 minutes on my overclocked 2.4C. I've checked my non-overclocked P4 machines as well to see if it was a stability problem, but they are exhibiting the same results. The SSE boost is active and working on all of them as well.

I also have no problem with that I'll fold extra whenever i get a chance for him keep the server up!

Its the Moblie 2400 barton. Load temp is 35C on water at 1.875 volts. Also have a 2500 on order and i am hoping for 2.8GHZ. Read over at ocforums.com

whoa, what are the proteins that have the number: 0/10,000 ? is that a dreaded tinker that I have heard about? My first 4 were 0/400, which took about 2-3days of intermitent work; I can only see this new one taking about a month or more seeing that it is 25 larger. Ouch that bites!

No your first 4 were tinkers. I'm not sure what the 0/10000 is...

well, whatever it is, it has only been running for about an hour and it is at 1000/10000!!! so it is moving really fast. I watched it for a little bit and found that is was jumping by increments of 100. Before I received this protein, I saw that the F@H program was downloading a new core. Maybe that has something to do with this weird speed change?

Yeah you got the worst out of the way by getting the tinkers first so pretty much anything is going to be faster. I have heard that there is a 70 points gromac that is worse ,but haven't really paid attention

Those 70 points Gromacs are a pain... I got two of them on my 2.8c.. Man did that take a long time.. I believe it was over 24 hours...

how long do tinkers take you?

I don't pay attention to how long mine go or it probably would just be frustrating. I just let them run.

I just broke through a string of Tinkers, it wasn't pretty. Luckilly my machine is busting out the Gromacs now.

I just loaded FAH onto the SFF PC in the house. Hopefully it'll help out a little even though it isn't on all that much. The 1700+ machine will be up and folding shortly as soon as I find my lost Ethernet switch (why, oh why, do you make them so small Linksys?).

Just a few more points and we'll be in the yellow. Come on everybody!
