Calvin Johnson is the real deal, Bolts suck, Donovan McNabb looks like a homo pirate with the shaved dome, Ocho Cinco needs some new celebrations, the Browns/Bengals game was friggin insane! I had the browns getting pummeled badly, Patriots - lights, Camera, Action....Moss is back, that will set a fire under T.O's *** cause he hates having lower stats than Moss...their matchup should be killer! one trying to outdo the other, when T.O can't do it he's gonna lose it and throw Romosexual under the bus and accuse everyone on the offensive side of the ball of being against him and trying to limit his success....do more situps and shoot more basketball in his driveway, repeat eagles episode....sign with raiders, catch 15 TD's from Russell and then retire.

I actually liked Miller, much better then kornholler. I hate these clowns. I turned off the sound. But the game loses some of the excitment. I wish they had just the noise on the field and down and distance info. Why do we need three idiots talking? One or two is enough talking heads.

He just looks...off to me. He clearly is rusty, but I think he needs to play to fix that. hHs biggest problem is his timing. The knee actually looks ok to me anyway, in both games he did a good job avoiding people and buying a little extra time.The biggest problem is Reid insists on throwing the ball 50 times a game (my initial post says 48, but after looking at the box score and adding the 3 sacks that would make it 51 passing plays). The defense simply knows the pass is coming, playaction is useless and the line is having problems pass blocking, because the D-line just does not repect the run and comes after us full bore on every play. Why not let the running game carry the load, last night there where huge holes the few times they did run, and Westbrook looked unstoppable.

Reid is going to ruin the guys career, if they throw 50 passes a game he will probably get injured again

I'm not so sure... he was very inaccurate with some of those guys who were open. I'm not sure that timing is what I'd blame. Maybe though.

His knee looks better than I thought that it would. I think about two months ago he said that he thought that it was like 75%. I doubt that if asked, that he'd say it was 100% right now.

But even though he looked better than I thought... he didn't look like the McNabb of old on the move... he looked a little slow. He seemed to be more of a sitting duck in the pocket than the McNabb that I saw in the past... he didn't break any tackles that I saw... as he has in the past.

I don't know how much of this was good coverage... how much was him being rusty in his reads/timing... how much was him not buying more time with his legs. But you and I both seem to agree that he isn't himself. And it is only two games into the season... maybe he gets better... he has to look better against porous Detroit.

I think that most D lines play to get penetration on most plays. I think that very few play more "read and react"... even against the run. I don't think that this factors in quite as much.

The running game looked good... but I think that's because the Redskins were keying on the pass (for the obvious reasons).

Westbrook's numbers would fall once the other team started keying on him (and as you know... would open up the passing game more).

Ohh... and the Eagles REALLY need to get some WRs... I don't think that they can wait. Westbrook looks to be the leading reciever at this point... which is ridiculous.

LeinART isn't exactly the epitome of accuracy or arm strength... in fact he is middle of the road IMO and guys like him come out every year, Huff was the better pick in the long run.

Johnson does us no good with no O-line to buy time and no one to throw to him, wasted pick unless he feels fine and ok with sitting out for a year or 2 until the raiders get their shiz together.... Rusell was the best pick they could have made logically speaking, getting him to see more than $ signs is another story... he could be a big bust since all he wants is the money.

Many good QBs aren't. People have their eyes glaze over when talking about QBs arm strength... but Joe Montana never had very good arm strength either. The flipside of that is a guy like Jay Schroeder... great arm strength... that didn't translate into a star QB.

Accuracy is more important I think... but even then... in my own opinion accuracy is superceded by the ability to read a defence properly (of which I think that Joe Montana was one of the best ever). I'd rather have the QB be able to find the wide open reciever easier than be able to drop a ball in perfectly in the middle of a reciever surrounded by guys.

And I personally don't think that Leihart was *that bad* in either area...

Matter of opinion I think. Time will tell better. I personally haven't been overly impressed by Huff (not that I have been by Leinhart at this point either though). This is only the second year for each... we'll have a better clue at the end of this year.

True... but neither does a QB sitting out from getting injured (or having his confidence utterly destroyed) behind that same line.

As fate would have it anyways... Russell is a complete writeoff for this season.

And the Raiders line didn't look that bad in run blocking or pass protection last game... they don't look like the same O line as last year (with the exception of the stupid penalties... which seem to be a yearly constant).

Early to tell... but the Raiders line may be much better this year. I see that Gallery has been moved to guard. Maybe a brilliant switch.

"Maybe better"? Ton's better. I think McCown's only been sacked a few times over two games. Hell last year raider qb's got sacked a few times in just one posession!! Raider WR's are fine between Curry and Porter. Russell was and still is the obvious choice to pick. And who knows, at the rate the raiders are losing, we still may see russell play after turkey day.

Well when an o-line sucks as bad as the raiders were last year, it doesn't take much to get an improvement.

Shroeder threw for over 4,000 yards went 12-4 and to the pro bowl his first year, he got a seperated shoulder injury and never came back from it really... not exactly Ryan Leaf.

Montana was smart and confident...

Sorta like Tom Brady, only he wasn't being relayed all the defensive calls of the opposing team.

now you wonder why the patriots refuse to pay any player big $ ? they don't need to when they can tell their team the play! anyone looks like a pro bowler when they know what is going down... thats why they can throw anyone in and succeed, perhaps that will soon change.

Ahhh... the good old days...

One decent year in Washington too if I recall.

Never knew what became of him (Canadian media doesn't cover things like shoulder injuries).

He was decent (as one Pro Bowl would attest)... but I don't know that he'd ever be great. He did have a cannon for an arm.

Just read an interview of Mcnabb saying black qbs have to try harder. That they get more scrutiny. I think all qb's get ton's of attetion. McClown is getting calls for culpeper from the fans. Eli gets a lot of notice. In fact almost all qbs get a ton of speculation. The media seems to fawn over Favre, Brady, and Manning. Everyone else is fair game. If anything, I think Mcnabb has gotten a pass from the news on his sub performance. He has never been that accurate and the lack of scrambling is making it show. He is worse without TO then To is without him. He needs a good wideout and needs to be more accurate. I think the eagles were smart to draft a qb. I think they were stupid for not signing Garcia.

Black QB's MAY be more scrutinized, they are the minority at that position... they dominate all others though.

Rush Limbaugh said the same thing basically, only he said that the media wants to see a black QB succeed (i.e pressures them) and he was called a racist for it and asked to resign from espn, believe me I'm no rush fan.

Blacknabb says that black QB's are more scrutinized (i.e under microscope being examined for success) than white QB's and he just gets called a dumbass for his comments and gets a pass, cause clearly, black people can't make racist comments.

every QB needs a good wideout, McNabb had T.O for a year, Culpepper had Moss, Manning has Marvin (and now reggie).... Tom Brady is different and we all know why now, you can plug anyone in at receiver and make them look like randy moss when you know the defense and now it is apparent why they refuse to pay anyone money, everyone has always talked about how they are so "good" that they can plug in anyone and win....now you know why...

I wonder then...

Are whites more "scrutinized" at other positions being that they are the minority? At WR? At RB? At CB? At LB?

What about other minorities... even moreso than blacks? Mexicans? Asians?

For the mostpart here... I think that McNabb is just being a baby.

Wait a minute. Didn't Rush Limbaugh say that McNabb gets a free pass in the eyes of the media because he is black?!!!

Saying that black QBs are under more pressure is an excuse. No one gives a crap what race a qb is, they only care about if they are good or not. I've never heard anyone say anything about a qb's race when talking about how good or bad they are. This isn't the 1960's.

Drew Bennett... like the only white boy WR, oh and wes welker, but he is the man, wheres Ed Mcaffrey when you need him?

what white boys run the ball? the black guys have all the moves, or like Artie Lange says, an extra bone in the ankle... either way, no white guys really run the ball on any consistent basis

I can't think of any hb's, though there have been white fullbacks in the modern era. Alstott and Moose Johnston, for example.

I think this whole race thing is stupid. I don't pick my fantasy players based on race. I'm sure teams don't either. They want winners. Now with that said, what's up w/ only ONE asian in the whole league?!! :p
