Well I dont work there anymore.. Havent for a few years... But I do keep in touch with the System Admin.. Who was there when I was..

I wouldnt think folding on state property would be acceptable.. But I am shocked they have 2.4Ghz processors!!!! :)

We have some mandates that we have to put into use, and some of them will need some system power to run properly. 2gig is the target, and with Dell, 2.4 is the sweet spot for price.

1/2 joking aside, i don't really think it's ethical to be folding on state computers as part of the sharky team. maybe saps or others have a different view, but that's just my $.02. i can also imagine an outcry if you happen to win the avatar.

Looks like were in 107th place right now, and are projected to overtake team Hawaii an Manoa December 17th. Get every CPU you have folding!

I don't live in the states. True, that G4 was paid for with tax-payers' money. Anyone living in the local community is free to come and use it (it's a dual processor G4 loaded up with Final Cut Pro for video editing/publishing), but as it is it's a resource going to waste. :(

As far as I'm concerned, I'd rather those 2 processors be put to good use rather than sitting around doing nothing. :)

if it's truly designated as a community resource for anyone to use, i guess that is different. as it's not in the US, who can say what the laws are there -- only you would know that. so if you say it's kosher, i guess we'll have to take your word for it. :)

Well the top 100 inevitably seems like its going down Wednesday or Thursday and unless I'm grossly inaccurate we could provided we can sustain this pace end the year in the top 80. The most remarkable thing is this team still isn't 2 months old, our 2 month anniversary is tomorrow
