What you said about Russell scaring you is exactly how I feel. Quinn was the consensus #1 for almost the whole season until one bowl game, then Russell is all of a sudden? I know that I don't know anything about football compared to scouts, coaches, etc. but I would feel nervous about that too. Though I have been Harrington-jaded ;)Quote:

Russell has a giant arm, he did leap frog like everyone in the draft - it raises concerns, but nearly every scout in the nfl has pegged him as the best QB in the draft according to their own observations of tape and his workout. I don't think you could satisfy a porter/moss/johnson receiving corps even if you had dan marino and joe montana's love child behind center... you just can't, you would have virtually NO running game and everything would be pass-pass-pass, good way to get shut down.
Walter never had a chance, it was ridiculous.... he made some really stupid throws but the guy had intense pressure on him, they need an entirely new o-line.

definately a good read. I mean the top three QB picks last year so far look like they will do well, Manning2 and Rivers are decent, but go back to Harrington and Carr and its a diffent story. There's nothing riskier than a QB in the top 5.Quote:

Carr is a bust, but manning2 is decent? Manning had a better O-line, better receivers, and a top 3-4 back, and lost the only playoff game he has played in horribly. Carr is better than Manning by a long shot.Quote:

the whole thing with porter was he wanted martz to be head coach and was upset that they didn't hire him and shell took it personal and went old testament on him with the grudge... porter has said he is ready to rock and roll, moss...he's another story... he wasted his own talent.
5 step? I saw a whole lot of 7 step drops, by the time he got to the 4th step he had to turn and run from defenders... anytime they moved down the field it was a 3 step drop, then the o-coordinator would start calling 7 step drop plays and it all unraveled.

Carr is already a bust as a first pick; Manning hasn't lit the world on fire or anything, but he has had success, and he's only played three seasons so far. Still early on him to make a call.
