no...that would be way to much trouble. My hardware is maxed as it is...it'd be too much trouble for just a few more points...:p and thanks!

if you use 2-2-2-5 timings and get your fsb past 220, you can hit 21k. something can be done :)
no tbird, there was a big thread about this while you were gone. It won't do 220fsb, that's why i'm so limited. 2-2-2-5 is out of the picture too.:( 204 is max i can do at 2-3-3-11. I can do 218 on a good day, but performance is horrible at 2.5-4-4-11. It benches higher at 204, 2-3-3-11.
Have you tried lowering the multiplier and raising the FSB? Drop it to like 10x and see if you can get a higher FSB or not... usually it works, well at least for me
yup, i've tried all of that...i had the best and brightest of sharky trying to help me get a higher fsb, but to no avail. I think my board is against me....:p
believe me, if i could bench at a higher fsb, I WOULD. I just won't cooperate at all. I really have tried just about everything, even the L12 mod that didn't help much fsb-wise...latencies, voltages, multipliers, none of that helped. But i got 20k, so i'm happy now. :D
So I guess the only thing left for you is win2k and dx8.1 which you are too lazy to install :D :D
I think he is done. 20k is his to cheerish and hes taking a rest. ill probably do the same once I break 15k. ill wait till the a64 matures and lowers in price before I eat you on a ti4200 :D
Colossus. I just noticed a funny thing on the data base, my 4200 2001 score is now listed under, the 9800 section. I guess, not only can you just post one system that goes for video cards too. I will post a 2100 score soon with my 9800 to take its place. ;)
Yea, 3dmark is nowhere near as fun as actually enjoying your PC. I got 20k and just stopped (although when I'm bored I'm tinkering with it)
exactly. Now it's time to play games and enjoy this power. I thought about pushing further to beat your score, saff, but i decided that blowing hardware up to do it is not worth it. :DQuote:

oh crap! my bad. I'm sorry colossus or whoever just updated! It's at 2557mhz. I always seem to mess something in there up.:( Sorry...
Lol, my clocks aren't that much better then yours, its just tweaking that has me, what, like 50 points higher then you.
I'm sure you should have around Mike's score if you tried. Got a spare hd anywhere? Install 2k, dx8.1, cat3.2 on it, then do all the other lil win2k tweaks (disabling services, l2 cache thingie, etc etc) and you should have higher then mine.
Its ok, Updated again :)Quote:

But I will not accept any more updates like that... Please full post with proper format is required even if the settings are the same :D
It makes it easier for me and others to spot, since I might not update it then and there.. And will come back.. So instead of reading pages upon pages.. I can look for that standard post while scrolling :)
OK, just got a little lazy. :)Quote:

hey! lonewolf! i get yapped at for having an error in format, and you get away with not even using the format....come on...;) :D
If you read Colossus`s post, you will see I didn`t get away with it altogether. :D I just thought that seeing as how everything was the same except for the link and the score, it would be alright. ;) :)Quote:

Damn nice numbers lone, closing in on 18k! Just give yerself a pat on the back for a job well done.:D BTW, I just took a look at a AMD64 3200+ and MSI mobo combo for aound $1k (around US$600), sounds good? Damn, I'm so tempted but I'm holding out for chipset to mature and for PCI Express to 'arrive'. I was also looking at 1gb of Twinmos PC3700 for around $500 or Kingston PC4000 at $600  So darn tempting! *chants mantra to rid self of the urge* :o
JUST DO IT......JUST DO IT.......JUST DO IT......JUST DO IT........

DOH!:o Just realised you're selling 2x256mb of the ram - from your sig, I gotzta have 2x512mb at the very least.;) Sorry bud! :( :)
When, I get over being lazy, I`m going to tweak enough out of it to get me to 18K or a little more, then once I get my ram and 2500+. I`m going to see what it can really do. Let me just say this, let the force be with you, resist the urge to get something that will give you nothing but trouble.;) :DQuote:

I got an idea, lets let ranger2992 get one first. :D Edit to add, I think I can get to 18K, just by switching from DX9 to DX8.1.;)Quote:
