Johnson is good and all, but I don't know of any first year player who is worth a first round pick, a second round pick and a QB.Quote:

Also, I really dont think the Lions are going after Quinn or Thomas, but people keep saying they are. I really think they want Adams, but it would be hard to take him at #2 if they cant trade down. As I keep saying I REALLY hope Oakland takes Russell leaving Johnson on the board.
Which is a good reason why Tampa probably won't trade up, when they still have a pretty good chance of getting Johnson where they are.Quote:

If they do, great for them, but I dont think its likely.Quote:

I can't imagine Tampa offering that much to move up 3 spots. But I agree the Raiders need to trade down to get more picks. They do have the 1st pick of the 2nd round as well. This draft and post June 1st free agency should be very telling on how they will do. I am excited.

I agree, saturday is gonna be crazy! probably start coverage at 2am with a looooooooooooong *** pre-draft show.
I love when they replay the clip of mel kiper getting blasted by that one dude way back when "mel kiper has no more qualification to do what he does than my mailman"
what clip is that? the draft "experts" drive me nuts. Being a scout is one thing, being a draft expert? That isn't even a thing. There is way too much BS, lying, speculation, stupid GMs, brilliant GMs, team needs, team wants, coach egos, etc...Quote:

I think Im going to tune in around 11:30, I dont want to get oversaturated by all the pre-draft.
I think it's at least a decent possibility that he'll be there at 4. Take something like last year; if you wanted Reggie Bush, you NEEDED one of the top two spots. No chance in hell he made it all the way to 4. With Johnson, there's at least a good chance; Oakland needs the QB, Detroit has taken a bunch of WRs recently and needs some other positions, and Cleveland needs other positions much more. None of the three teams in front of Tampa really have WR as that strong of a need position, so you're just risking them taking him as the best player available. That early in the draft, there are enough best player available type players at the other team's need positions that him falling is at least a realistic possibility, and with a decent chance that he'll be there at 4 it's not worth what it will take to move up two or three slots.Quote:

Yea you never know. He is the undisputed best athlete entering the NFL this year, so who knows who is "jones-ing" ;) for him. Im fine with either taking him at #2 or trading down because he is still there.
All I know is everyone's going to freak out if the Raiders actually take anyone except Russell. Every single mock draft I've seen has them taking him.Quote:

I heard an outlandish rumour today:
'Denver is offering Detroit it's first three picks for the #2 overall.'
lol, I don't know about that one.

In 1994, then Indianapolis Colts general manager Bill Tobin commented in a live interview with a mortified Chris Mortensen, “Who the hell is Mel Kiper anyway? He has no more credentials to do what he’s doing than my neighbor, and my neighbor’s a postman.” Kiper had criticized the Colts' choice of linebacker Trev Alberts over quarterback Trent Dilfer in that year's NFL entry draft. Kiper responded to Tobin with a biting tirade that drew huge cheers from the fans in the gallery and wry smiles from Chris Berman and the other ESPN commentators
R'Aggro - I heard an equally chilling rumour, actually it's not rumour cause it's from Brady Quinn himself on espn....Raiders are in negotiations with his agent condon.
ploy? I dont know but thats what he says.
oh, and larry johnson is getting his butt shipped out of KC

Chiefs Confirm They're Shopping Larry Johnson (4/24 4:39 PT)
The Facts: A day after reporting that Johnson wasn't on the trading block, NFL Network insider Adam Schefter is now reporting the Chiefs are indeed shopping their star tailback. According to Schefter, Kansas City has spoken with the Browns, Packers, Titans, Bills and possibly others. Reported by FootballDiehards.com
Diehards Line: A team official told Schefter the Chiefs haven't engaged in "specific" trade talks -- something they would probably be reluctant to admit even if they had. ... Meanwhile, Schefter went on to suggest a long-term deal will be an issue for any team interested in Johnson, who reportedly wants a contract worth more than the eight-year, $60 million package LaDainian Tomlinson recdeived two years ago. ... Stay tuned. There's no reason to believe anything is imminent, but the situation bears watching.
   What the?! Why? I'm gonna have to look more into this...Quote:
