I hadn't even thought about the Larry Johnson contract stuff, but even before I read about that I think it makes sense. He's got very high value right now, and I was thinking the Chiefs could get a lot for him. Plus, take into account my personal opinion that running backs are one of the most replaceable positions on the field, and it makes a lot of sense.
Going by that article, of course, it doesn't look like they'll be able to move him, anyway.
[QUOTE=spamjedi]what clip is that? the draft "experts" drive me nuts. Being a scout is one thing, being a draft expert? That isn't even a thing. There is way too much BS, lying, speculation, stupid GMs, brilliant GMs, team needs, team wants, coach egos, etc...QUOTE]
Mel Kiper used to be pretty unique as an expert on the draft. In his younger years, he did a LOT of legwork checking out prospects, talking to teams, etc., when no one else was doing it. Nowadays those kinds of people are a dime a dozen, but he pretty much revolutionized how the draft is done.
Though its sounds like he is basically untradable becuase of that contract, and the fact that he is in line to get a fatter deal than LT because of the cap increases. Man I wouldnt want my team to go after him, you sacrifice so much. And what if half of his game is that o-line they have in KC?Quote:

The Larry trade can be a huge change. He is a good back, but everyone seems to moving to back by committee. I won't beleive anything about the Raiders pick until it is on the board. They are notoriously secretive and use a non logic in drafting. Drunkakowski s an example. They could have drafted Lt or a bunch of other marquee players. Ned (the kicker then) is still a good kicker in the league. But this year maybe Kiffin does have some inside info that might help. I can't wait for saturday.
Rams trade a fifth for Dante Hall.

Thats just how these things go. Draft picks are more valuable than veterans.
All he really does is return. He is very replaceable as a WR, and even a downgrade in the return game would be worth having a player back there that can do more than just return in many cases.Quote:

Yea KC would be pretty lucky to get Ginn at #23
I think they're more right at the spot where he'll start being looked at as BPA. No one in front of them really needs a WR all that badly. He'll just have to slip past Tennessee; the Cowboys might take a WR at 22, but I don't think they'd take him.Quote:

yea, um, i definately dont see that one actually even coming close to going through. lol.Quote:
