I could only watch part of the 4th quarter but time of possession killed Dallas. It put a lot of pressure on the defense and they ran out of gas. I'm disappointed but I know they can bounce back. The real test will be against the Colts for NE.Quote:

I'm lovin' the Saints taking the Seahawks to the woodshed right now. Go NO!:D
:( freaking cowboys, I thought we had a chance there when we jumped up 24-21.
At least the Seahawks are getting spanked, can make my day somewhat better.
I just don't see how NE does it every year. It seems like they can just stock up at every position.
Blah. My team sucks.
I don't think that they overpay.Quote:

I usually on watch the Lions games since that's all I have time for. Since the Lions were on a bye I watched the Patriots Cowboys game. Those teams are in a different league. Its not about the score, you just watch the talent they have on the field. I know theres a lot of parity in the NFL, but not for every team.
Moss isn't overpaid, they got him on a freaking bargain, especially because he hasn't been selfish this year, either. He was overpaid like a mother in Oakland, though.Quote:

I missed the Seattle/New Orleans game yesterday.
Looks like Bush had a pretty good game as the featured back. Sounds like most of his yards also came in the 1st half... which is usually opposite of when backs seem to get most of their yards (i.e. late in the game when the team is trying to run out the clock and the defence is getting worn down).
My question with Bush is... did he run between the tackles with authority?
Bush looked good in the first quarter, hit the holes pretty hard and ran forward. He and the rest of NO did nothing in the second half, but the damage was done.
KSUOHIO - cameras, it's all about the cameras.
R'AGGRE - yeah and he got 100 yards, imagine that...
pats can go undefeated, probably will if they play all their starters till the end... ridiculous.
only real challenge is INDY... manning will bring it.
I think that he ran for like 97... at like 5.1 per carry. Also received for liek another 40. Close to 100. A very good day by the looks of it.Quote:

I think that they will beat Indy this year. I think that for a few reasons:Quote:
only real challenge is INDY... manning will bring it.
1. They have been beat by Indy the past few times and will want to re-establish themselves as the alpha male of the league again.
2. Brady actually has great receivers to throw to this year... better than he has ever had in the past.
3. I still think that Indy's defence is weak. As I stated with the Dallas game, NE is a much more well balanced team.
4. They have had success against Manning in the past. If there is anyone who knos how to beat him... it's NE.
Just my thoughts/speculations on that matchup. The game still needs to be played.
Indy will be tough, but as of right now NE is a juggernaut egads.
I'm a die hard Steelers fan and have followed NE a LONG time. The scary thought is this is the best NE team I've ever seen. (and they have had real good ones this last decade!)
Can they get beat? Sure. Will they? Only if you bring your AAAAA+ game to the table from the get go.
When the Steelers went 15-1 we had some big breaks along the way. So far NE is absolutely dominating people. Great for NE fans - real bad for the rest of us.
They won't go undefeated. Teams just don't go undefeated, even if they are huge favorites in every game. They let there guard down for one game, and its over, don't forget that they have to play the dolphins twice still, if a team is undefeated, the Dolphins take the game to heart. Remember last year how everyone was saying Indy is going to go undefeated(this is before the **** about how weak their run defense was), and they went into Dallas and got owned.
well he had 100 but then ran for a loss... just saying, yards in the nfl come from straight ahead running, not a 3 ring circus in the backfield... and don't bring up barry sanders! he was a fluke, there will NEVER be another.Quote:

Yea... my quiblle with your statement was minor. 97 yards is damned close to 100.Quote:

And as far as Sanders goes... never say never. Someday there will be someone who comes along who has a similar style who is successful at it. There always is.
I agree.Quote:

People always talk about an undefeated season. But realistically... how many times has it ever happened? Once? Never say never... but my money is on that it won't happen for quite some time. No matter how dominating a team looks.
Look at all the great teams of the past 10-20 years.
San Francisco, Dallas, Green Bay, Denver, New England, Chcago, Washington... no matter how awesome that any of them have been... they didn't go undefeated... usually a ways from it.
Undefeated is one of these things that egt's talked about EVERY year... but almost never happens.
I just watched the Peterson highlights from Sunday.

Holy crap! That guys is a freakin stud. I can't say Im excited to play him twice a year.
I was hoping Dallas would put up a better fight then they did against NE. Hats off to Brady and Belacheat.
The other side to the undefeated season is not having an injury to a major player. Luckily NE hasn't had Brady out over that last couple years and the same thing for Peyton.
When looking at NE schedule, I can see the Steelers, Ravens at Baltimore, Colts at Indy, and the Dolphins games as possible stumbling blocks. Also have to remember that the Dolphins perfect season was only 14 games and I'm sure they didn't play 4 preseason games. I just don't see it happening again, just like the Bull's 72 win season will be hard to beat.
I think the bulls winning 72 games is more impossible than going undefeated in the NFL. How many games are there in the basketball season? 76? That is insane.
True.Quote:

How so? In the NBA, there are 82 games not to mention Playoffs and then the Finals. If Nash went down for Phoenix, I think that would devastate the team.Quote:
