Damn, I didn't realize he threw in his full power with them...that hurts.Quote:

Don't get discouraged folks, we may have lost some heavy hitters but out of the top 100 teams , there are only 9 others with a higher % of active users processing.(42%) So we still have good interest... comparatively. What we need to make up the high power losses is a higher volume of participants.
Considering the progress we made when it was first started it's sad that we have slowed down so significantly. Just wish I had a few more computers to contribute but I currently have every computer I am able to folding for Sharky.
Yup, it's not even about getting more computers for each user. What we really need is more users. More users with only 1 or 2 computers each would help us alot more.
Everyone do their best to get some more people!!:)
Well, I'm trying to add a relative's P4 2.4ghz to our team, but I have a problem. When I try to install the program, I get "could not create folders for installation" errors. This is strange considering the PC is new and hasn't had a chance to get fouled up. This does not happen with any other apps I try to install; they all work fine.
Any ideas?
why did beast leave us?
Well, it looks like I will be adding a mobile 2400+ to the team. I have it at stock speeds until I can get a decent hsf. I'll work on that though. Hopefully I can have it running faster soon!!!
I lost one of my Folding machines recently too. PSU went out on me. Tho I'll be getting it back up today or tomorrow and am working on getting a third.
I have a "new" mobo (nForce1 with IGP) and an old HDD, now if someone would be nice enough to donate a cpu, case, and ram I could add another machine to the group.
Heh, seriously though why am I getting such strange WUs? The WU that had 10,000 points was done in a couple of hours. Weird.
Conversely, you could donate your mobo and HDD to me and I could cannibalize some parts from this or that machine and end up with a fourth. ;) :pQuote:

i have finally built my new comp and am now folding for the Sharky team :D
Only one question, I have a AMD 64 3000+ and am not sure about what flags I should put in the shortcut?
Looks like they have finally adjusted the points on most the Tinkers, along with point values for some of the Gromac's. Now, if they can only fix the darn connection problems.

EDIT: FYI

hmm... but if you donated them to me, we'd both have 3, then it'd be fair! ;)Quote:

Pwain, i think you only need to put in -advmethods and -forceasm as sse works with the AMD 64's, I think.
alright thanks, thats what I put it at, but wasnt sure. :DQuote:

but its taking quite some time. its been on for 4+ hours and its only at 41/400 on a p638_L939_K12M_ext. Is this normal?
That's a Tinker, and yeah they take forever. :(Quote:

For you guys who haven't caught up with it yet - there's a new f@h logstats (v0.71) available here . For those who have multiple folding machines, you want this (or equivalent) software.
The main change I've noticed is that the points update now works correctly. That means that the Tinker that was originally showing as being worth 50 points is now showing as 249 points. That's better value for my 48 hours of folding :D
Woot!! I now have 3 machines folding for me. They aren't power houses, but one is in my sig, one is a mobile 2400+ @ 2.0Ghz and one is a 2100+ stock. Only the first two are folding 24/7 (although I turn folding off on my main rig when I game... just an hour or two every couple of days). The last one is my girlfriends computer that I threw together as an upgrade for her. I will inherit her old pIII 733 machine and have it folding soon too!
did they increase the points awarded for certain proteins? Just asking because it looks like I received 129 points from one of my rigs, but I didn't see what the protein title was. It's just that I haven't seen that high of a point tally before. I have only gotten the 71 point 400WU proteins.
LAME!! I read your post and decided to update FAH Logstats to see if the points had changed. Unfortunately, they did. I was working on a 160 point gromac running 20 minutes per frame and now it is only worth 75 points :mad:Quote:

IIRC they changed that point structure a few weeks ago. I had 3 machines working on 160's that all dropped to 75 in one fell swoop.Quote:

Well, if it changed, it changed. Would you rather be under a mistaken impression that you were receiving more points than you actually were?Quote:

Hey, do Genome@Home Wu's count toward your Folding points? I've heard they don't have a deadline. Is that correct?
Yeah me too, obviously. :)Quote:

Just my lowly 5.5GHz of folding power, Still not enough.....
Yup..come on guys lets get some more machines folding. :)
I'm up to 19.1 Ghz of full 24/7 folding and and an additional 2.4 Ghz of part time folding.
That's 21.5 Ghz of folding power!!:):D
