I have a power supply, MB, cpu, memory and a graphic`s card, is there a way for me to hook this up to another computer without a hard drive or a case and have it folding also. If there is give me a link that shows me how to do it.
i think you'd also have to have a network card, or else you'd need a hard drive to be able to have an OS and share a network connection, which would be a major pain to set up just for folding. or if you have a floppy drive you could run linux on a floppy disk and maybe try to share a connection that way, though i'm not sure off the top of my head how that would be done. so trade the graphics card for a network card, and you could do it. :D i posted one link the other day to the extreme overclocking guide -- google for "diskless folding farm," you'll probably find more. :)Quote:

mine looks retarded but that's way cool!
Well, I have been checking around and have desided that it would be too much trouble for me to hook it up that way, so I think I will just wait, until I can get a hard drive. Those certificates are nice, but now I wish I had not picked a name used by others. When I check on the one with my name it says I have completed 10K. :)Quote:

:D sorting by day, sharkys is in 29th place, and SPCR is 22. so we still have a ways to go to match you guys. and we definitely need to pick up production -- we're not even consistently hitting 10k a day! come on guys, let's recruit some more processors!Quote:

I expect that once it collects a week's worth of data, Sharky should be ranked right next to SPCR (maybe above us, by then) in weekly production. Right now there's a good drop from us at 80k/wk down to the next team at 64k/wk. And EOC has Sharky at ~64k/wk.
Damn, this is too fun.
Hmmm.....Wonder what the next cert is? Mine is a little out of date:(

I`m not sure, but I think the next up from 10K is 25K, like it is setup on our milestones page.Quote:

We REALLY need you colossus:(
Thermo -- we need somebody in the red on EOC -- get that new secret weapon of yours from the drawing board to the folding school.
That's Colossus Gus (not colossus--hehe), and hundreds of years ago Nostradamus predicted that he would join us soon, and become a F@H 1%er! :DQuote:
