he was the #1, but branch has better hands and certainly better speed...I think the only reason he wasn't the #1 option in the passing game is because matt hasselbeck is a little b**** boy who favors jackson, I have always hated Hasselbeck....he cries everytime he gets tackled, he is the consumate whiner, he heavily favored darrell jackson to the detriment of his team - he would sit in the pocket too long looking for jackson to get open and ignore branch, he did it time and time again....now it appears he will be forced to throw to branch

Hasselbeck threw at Branch quite a bit for awhile, but the man just wasn't comfy in the system yet. Remember Jackson spent a few games injured, but Branch still didn't do a whole lot. I do like the guy though and think he'll fit better this year.

btw a pretty respected seahawk insider stated that Jackson was actually in TB today. Him for the Buc's second pick sounds about right.

If that's all they're being offered for him, then technically, he IS only worth a late fourth. :D

At any rate, it is believed to be the Niner's first pick in the round, which is #3, so it's actually an early 4th. Big difference, I know.

That's true, I just don't think they would bother for so little return.

Its definitely gotten harder to pry draft picks away from teams in exchange for the veteran talent. Everyone seems to be about hoarding picks these days.

Except the Redskins. They only have like 2 or 3 picks in the entire draft this year, it's like a 1st, 6th, and 7th or something like that, and they're talking about giving up more to get Lance Briggs.

heheh, yeah the Redskins are fearless when it comes to making really questionable moves.

Well, the Lions took Johnson. I still say it's a mistake, should have traded down. Not that I know what other teams were offering or anything.

I don't think the bucs will take quinn. Everyone knows gruden hates young qb's...

Funny how the Lions take the bpa, and still end up drafting yet another wr.:D

Ah well, it was really the only thing to do.

And Quinn is still available.

Arizona won't take him either, obviously. Dolphins may still get him.

houston may move up too... schaub is an average QB at best.

redskins need a QB too...never know

What cracks me up is ESPN's infatuation w/ Quinn. After Cleveland passed on Quinn, they showed his face, instead of a pic of Joe Thomas (yes I know he's fishing). I thought was hilarious that they still talked about quinn for a good minute or so before they showed clips of Thomas. After TB, AZ, and WA passed on Quinn, they kept showing his face. He looked like a sad puppy dog.

At this point, I hope Quinn goes so the NFL network will talk about someone else. Quinn = media darling.
