Gotta 9800XT on the way from Tech Data. Supposedly they will be in stock on the 30th of October. Boss bought it for me. It was only $466 from them.

I won't be clockin it that high though, not lookin to take back the #1 spot any time soon, I will post some benches and results though.:)

yes, it will be interesting to see how they clock and if they're better than 9800's at the same speed. if you can beat your current score with that card clocked somewhere around 475/400 it might be worth the upgrade.

It's impossible for them to be faster than 9800's at the same speed. It is the exact same core and process, it's just a slightly better yield. ;)

Mind you, rumours abound that people are consistently seeing 400-410 mem clocks.

I am satisfied with my 370mhz memory OC on my 9800np and I have not even flashed it to a pro yet. ;) :)

dude, flash that thing to a pro and you should be way over 400!! i was at 342 before i flashed and now i'm at 392, if the same increase holds true for you, you should break 420mhz easily.

Not much of an increase, but the VC is OC`d farther.
I thought I had the memory @ 1.02, but after it was done, I seen it was at 1020mhz! :eek:
My fill rates were down a bit too, so it was prolly too far, it helps the game tests to have it that high, but kills the fill rates. :(

have you tried 2-2-2-11 timings? that can get you a few points.

It's not really an upgrade, more of a replacement. I fried my 9800Pro by accidentally spraying water on it during a 3DMark run.

Yes it did. It went up about 300 points from my old score which I got from an OC of 460/870. These new drivers are great. I can't wait to see what I get with the card OC'd. :D

Nice score, you did know you don`t have to run all the tests, by pressing the escape key after nature, will still give you a score.
