I am very curious if the nf2 mobos are faster than the kt400s at *same fsb* and how good they overclock and their stability. I will be keeping my kt400 as backup in case my nf2 doesnt overclock well, dies or isnt stable enough. Is 225fsb a realistic overclock or something that rarely happens? also can the nf7 use 1.7v to the northbridge per the bios option? how much would this help upping the fsb? I estimate 15.5k marks at 225fsb and 2.47GHz cpu on this ti4200, but I shall find out in about 2 weeks. If I get my friend to v mod my ti4200 I very well could break 16k marks and if my friend's friend sells me a super ti4200, I get an xp2100 thatll do around 2.7GHz I might hit 17k marks but I doubt id get a new cpu nor new ti4200. 16k marks might be the most id get for a while till I get an a64(could be at least a year off) oh yea one guy got a hold on a p4ee(engineering sample?) and got only 27k at 560 core on the 9800 pro with his cpu 4.2GHz(?) so those arent much better than the none EE, the cache adds little just as the barton's cache adds little. The prescotts have been delayed due to thermal and power issues, maybe they will come at 90nm only in middle of 2004, the ee edition is to fill the gap in the meantime. I wouldnt get an a64 for now, wait for them to go 90nm
Isn't this both in the wrong thread AND in the wrong forum??? Shouldn't OC questions be in CPU and overclocking?
