That's probably it, he's droping partial WU's and getting credit for the rest. icecube_of_death has run 96 WU's and has a little over 1100 pts.
That's only 12pts per. It has to be because of overclocking.

My two P4Cs fold about 15% faster running two clients each rather than one, this has been consistent on all types of Gromacs that they have run.Quote:

My duallys will fold 2 units in the time it takes for one, but on the work station it causes some lags and stalls. It has a lot of stuff running all the time as it is. The other one is just too old to be worth the effort. WU's are measured in day(s) on it and 40 points a week has not been enough to get me to set it up for two clients.
I'm not sure why the numbers are working out that way. Maybe it's due to my Apple systems which seem to work on whatever it feels like. I'm also having problems with one system always picking up Tinklers eventhough it is set to -advmethods. I have been trying to delete the current WU and let it grab another, but that doesn't work either.Quote:

i has posted a page or 2 back in here that i noticed you started climbing in production again, yet we're still the same 9-11 WU's apart (you ahead in points, me ahead in WU's)....shouldn't you be closing the gap and passing my WU total if you're producing 250-350 more points a week?
If I catch it in time I just delete the cores and if that does not work, I uninstall and reinstall. If I do not catch it in time I just let it go.Quote:

I take what ever they give me; all the research is important!;)
Just do the Tinkers if you happen to get them, someone has to do it.
Just broke the 9K mark and I take all the files they send!;)
Yeah whats up with that guys deleting cores to get the units you want tsk tsk... I'm working on my second tinker right now. (well second one I have noticed getting)Quote:

Its great to see so many of our top guys prioritizing the research over the competitive points aspect of folding. After all why are we doing this again?....Exactly ;)
The competition keeps us interested, but we still remember what's important.Quote:

the competition makes us needlessly upen our wallets and build more systems ;) I have 3 systems here that are perfectly capable of running most games out there, and are more than enough for web and whatnot....but i'm building another one, for uh....well folding is the best reason that i can justify the build with. :DQuote:
