welcome to my world. i have a nature score of 155, but my score isn't all that amazing. if only i could afford an Intel... nah, i like AMD. i'm ordering a 1700+ and some more ram, hopefully i can be the "second" AMD rig at 20500.Quote:

Unless you get a fantastic OCer, a 1700 won't get you any more points - the Barton's extra cache is worth about 200mhz over a Tbred, so you'll need to get the 1700+ to 2.65 to just break even. ;)Quote:

i need another CPU so i can push one of them. i'm afraid to go for more than 2.2v on my 2500+, but i think for the $47 price, i wouldn't mind frying a 1700+ or two. just out of curiosity, what speed can you get your 1700+ to on 2.2v? or are you not saying that either?Quote:

ok, so if i can get 2.7ghz i'll gain. i can run my 2500+ on 2.2v and have 58 C after a run at 3dmark. it doesn't help me get any more Mhz though, 2.5ghz is just too much for it.
All this is very exciting :) Makes me wanna actually try doin this ;) Ran 3dmark once for fun and got like 18.5k, but thats with moderate oc on cpu and vid card.
But for some odd reason just about any fsb over 200 gives me memtest errors on test 5 (last few percent, so processor cache?) so haven't tried
ok, i just put ramsinks and a crystal orb on my ATI Xpert98. tomorrow should bring a new card record! the current record on futuremark is only 509... shouldn't be too hard to surpass.
