He's too smart to fall for such a ploy!;)
how many of you have built your own farm? how much did you put into it if you did?
Haven't yet, just used my existing machines and the many spare parts I had laying around. But, who knows what the new year might bring. hehe :cool:Quote:

But was this system designed to fold? Or did it have a seperate function and just assimilated to folding?
Would a A64 3000 fold better then a XP 3000? Since they both have the same amount of cache?
Folding/computer shutdown, see you guys in a few days.
Not here in Maryland, we always pay a little more than the other coast. And he lost money on the mainboards, they have to make a few bucks on something. I got a 1gig memory stick for 199 in the same deal :) Best thing I have purchased in years.Quote:

Well now that you ask, yes it has another reason for being. With it, I will take over the Wor............Whoops wrong forum. No, for now it folds and in a few months it will be five systems that I dispose of to make room for something new. Or, perhaps someone will talk me out of it as a stack. There has been an offer already, a stupid offer, but an offer none the less.
I don't know, the A64 3000 may not be as good at folding. The FX51 is not at it's best with folding. I would guess that the 32bit code carries a little extra overhead on the A64's
But mabey Stanford will ultize the 64Bit in the A64, you will see a lead. In a Folding farm, its best to go for numbers vs high end stuff IMO.
Well the reason why I asked is that the XP 3000 and A64 3000 are around the same price.. Within 20 dollars or so...Quote:
