I used to work across the highway from Six Flags (as in, the offices on that side of the building are facing it from like 100 yards away over the highway). It's just a really bad area for congestion. Come Super Bowl Sunday, I predict a 3 month long traffic jam through February, March, and April.
2. Laura Miller, mayor of Dallas, is already (and will continue to be) mercilessly reamed for letting Jerryworld slip to Arlington. Dallas will still see a ton of revenue for the event, but nothing like they would have if the stadium were within city limits. But it's okay, we're renovating the old and broke *** Cotton Bowl! ::rolleyes::
Bo was a legend...there were so many rumours about his skills and talents back in the day.... he is like the boogey man now, his legend and rumours grow. I heard back in the day that he could throw a dude out running from third to home from the wall in centerfield when he was with the Royals.
remember those 2 sport athletes? they don't make em like bo and deion anymore...to play 2 friggen sports and all the work required is INSANE! Bo is truth.
You Texans are lucky. The SB will *never* come to the pacific northwest no matter how nice Qwest Field is.
you never know... we got it here in Detroit.
Just build an indoor stadium.Quote:

If not for the overall trend toward specialization, and the complexity that brings with it, I think we would still have a pretty good number of two sport athletes.Quote:

A quick run down and I only counted 3 that have been in states that weren't on the southern border of the US, two of which were in Detroit.
bleh, that's not football!:pQuote:

Really? That sounds kinda like just hype to me. I can't see him being like, 'oh by the way I'm also one of the best receivers in the league, I forgot to tell you'.Quote:

he won't last long on ESPN, if he is gonna do what he did during the draft it should be a very brief stint...people will get very tired very fast and their viewership will decline.Quote:
Keyshawn Johnson will announce his retirement Wednesday, ending an NFL career in which the outspoken receiver was once one of the game's biggest threats.
He will join ESPN as a sportscaster and disclose his plans at a news conference in Los Angeles at USC, where he starred in college.
"After Keyshawn's announcement that he will retire, we will announce we are signing him to a contract," ESPN spokesman Bill Hofheimer said.
on Hester -

I couldn't find the article on SI where they were hanging from his jockstrap, but it was pretty lame "he caught everything thrown to him" blah blah on and on, apparently he is the Bears version of Reggie Bush now according to the above piece.
Johnson is still a thug from the hood. You can take the guy out of the hood, but can't take the hood out of the guy.
I have heard all kinds of horror stories here about the guy... from his days at USC to when he was with the Cowboys and training here in Oxnard. A complete classless act all the way around.
I can't see him lasting on ESPN.
Im pretty skeptical about the Hester thing. Who knows though, maybe it will be a great move.
