I'm trying. I just got power back to my house after Hurricane Charlie. My power went out Friday night at 11:30 PM and didn't come back on till Sunday at 8:00PM.
My systems at work were powered down in preparation for the hurricane and of course my house had no power at all. I'm ok though. It just sucked not having power for 48 hours.:(

Sorry to hear that. Hope you are alright and that your home is okay too. No power for 48hours? that had to make the days slow to a crawl... plus it sounds like it would be a little spooky. With that development, I say your folding production has been quite impressive. Nice job man.:DQuote:

I'm limping along at 1600-1800 a day now -- I lost 6 borged machines. :(
Closing in on 300k total since I started in October. Woohoo! (note to self, must find all cures soon, aging rapidly here)
I haven't noticed any decrease because of the console, but have from the WU mix. The admins over at the folding.org site swear that the upgrades in the client do not affect processing times, that only the new cores do -- supposedly with improvements. My numbers have been off lately, as the mix of gromacs/tinkers has shifted. :confused:Quote:

Hey BlueOval, I see that your production has picked up a bit. Nice work man. I have to back off a little because of temperatures. Yesterday in my room my little desk thermometer was reading 37C!!! That is killer. My cpu temps didn't go way off the scale, but the computer as a whole with the dual crt monitors was keeping my room way too hot. I couldn't get it cooled down to a tolerable sleep level til about 1am. Hopefully temps will cool down here soon. I can't wait until winter!

I've been using the new V5 and I've had 2 failures on my P4 system. I wake up the screen I its blacked out. I try to close and the system reboots. Hmmmmmmmm V5 problems . . .
I've not had any failures on my A64 system . . .
Might go back to V4 on the P4 system . . .
I'm still running 3.24. :o
Same thing here. On my A64 system, it works rather perfectly, but on my P4 it crashes and stalls a lot (sometimes with horrendous flickering screens... scary. Makes me think it actually busted my lappie).
Anyone running XP SP2 and folding? Any problems sending or receiving work units or any other problems?
Running fine on XP SP2. Have you disabled that new windows firewall? Heard that can really get in the way...
XP SP2 and FAH5 are running fine on several machines, but one (year old) notebook choked on the SP2 update and I had to reinstall WinXP.Quote:

I tried installing version 4.0 on a fresh XP pro install, but it kept crashing. Any reason why that would happen? I have only used 4.0 on all my machines and have never had a problem before. Thanks.
w00t, going for 100,000! Man, I can't believe how much this team as a whole has done in just the last few months. I remember when I started that the first place person was just at about 70,000pts. I also remember that to get into the top 100 you only needed about 1000pts. Now, the leader has almost 200,000pts, to get into the top 100 requires 4x as many points, and the team as a whole has boosted its performance tremendously. We may need more members to compete with other teams, but our performance level has been pretty awesome IMHO. Awesome job team!
