Case: Aluminum KingWin 436 case with Custom etchng
I'm a sucker for blue, and that paintjob looks pretty nice:)
I like as well. I think that case is going to be my next case.
Nice!!!
thx for the comment's
Actually I didn't paint anything tho I wish I could take the credit there. Just a real quality brushed aluminum case. I used rubbing alcohol to clean it up on the inside then used glass cleaner to shine it.
You might have a hard time finding this case now. Kingwin has replaced it with a new model.
For anyone who has this case I would recommend you cut the waffle outa the top plexi and the metal guards on the 2 back fans. It really cut down on noise and between that and sleeving the PS (replaced all molex's wit uv blue) it really has cut down on temps. As I'm typing MM reads 29c for cpu. Full load on BF:V tho will pop it up to 38c-40c. I also got rid of the ccfl's and replaced em with 3 uv lazer leds (much easier to hide) and 1 blue lazer led to highlite the etch. It makes the case that much cleaner !!!

Dragon13 why is your Nexus' faceplate backwards?
Great rig btw I LOVE the fans, can you tell me where you got em?
AH nvm about the nexus, it appears you took that pic in a mirror or something... also is that a kingwin kt-11 with a modded side panel?
also how did you get the front bezel black
tyvm UghMAS
I was screwin around in Photoshop and musta flipped the pic wit out realizin it...lol
The fans I picked up from Xoxide tho SVC is a little cheaper. They just happened to be out when I went to buy em so I had to grab em from Xoxide. SVC is where I get alot of my extra's.
The case is a 436 case which they don't make anymore. I had the etch done at KoolPCMods. They do gr8 work. It looks more like the 424 case than the 11 case I think.
The front of the case came black with clear plastic bezel. Most of the time there's a reflection from the plastic but I musta got lucky when takin the pics this time. Other pics it's really noticeable and ya can't tell the color behind the bezel. When my brother got his rig he was lookin into this case but the bezel just didn't cut it for him. He hated the idea of any reflection so he got a Lian Li. I don't mind it tho. :D
One more question..is that EL wire sttached to the bottom of the case or is it a pre bought thing?
Just a piece of plexi wit leds in it. Can also be had at KoolPCMods.com
XP1800,
How did you get hide all your PSU wires? I have like 4 separate cables with about 125 power connectors total coming from my Thermaltake. And every one of those m0f0s are visible in my side window. Can you post a pic showing how you "squirreled' them away?
If anyone else has a pic showing how they hid their power cables, I'd appreciate it.
ESB
I just got all the wires I didn't need, wrapped them up neatly, and stick them to the side of my case above my CD drives. My Lian-Li came with some plastic ties that stick to your case and hold wires, so I used them. It's really easy man, you just have to jam them up top somewhere, or you can sometimes route them behind your motherboard tray.Quote:

Yeah, I got a zip tie stick-on holder so I can rig some ties to pull them to top of case, but behind the mobo, that's something I didn't think of.
Thanks for the tip. I'll try it once my vid card comes back from RMA (1.5 cheers for newegg.com). I love the PSU, but I gots me too many power cables for the few things I have in the case.
