A triple post and not a single URL to the actual Kickstarter? FOR SHAME! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...-fork-of-truth
Already backed that one. It's sadly not going nearly as quickly as I would have hoped. I love LFG.
Shadowrun Returns keys are being sent via email!
::squee:: Can't wait for the new Shadowrun game!!! :D:D:D:D:D
Got my key a few days ago and entered it in Steam. Super excited!

So recently a board game kickstarter failed. I find it amazing that people are angry and insisting on their money back. It's kickstarter. The rewards are only there if the project succeeds, nothing guarantees success. People seem to think they are buying a product, not backing the creation of one, which may or may not succeed.
I've never backed anything on Kickstarter that I wasn't willing to lose the money on. That includes my recent backing of the CST watch, which is crazy expensive, but I wanted one anyway. If I get one, sweetness. If I don't, I'll be irked, but I'm not going to complain to the BBB, or try and sue for my money back. That's just insane to me.
*Edit: Coverage from the Verge
Heard about that. Yikes. KS is a gamble. Pledger beware.

The backers have a right to pursue legal action if the product is not delivered.
Not worth the legal fees to recover a $75pledge. Not even a high enough dollar amount to go class action, and even if they did each person would still since only receive a fraction of their pledge.
Curious how this pans out. Most people reported him to the states customer fraud department so we'll see what happens.
This doesn't change anything for me. We had a conversation about a year ago where some were treating kickstarter as a preorder instead of a "donation with benefits." I always go into a kickstarter knowing that its all up in the air. If they deliver then great, but IMO, I just enjoy giving someone a chance to do something creative even if I get nothing back from it. I see this more as a patronage to the arts, much like the wealthy did back in the day.
I don't know why people treat kickstarter as a store. I understand being disappointed, but some are screaming fraud. I'd think that would be hard to prove unless we stroked a check for a Corvette and left town lol.
Its like giving a buck to a homeless dude with a guitar and then complaining about the musical quality. :) :)
My Dungeon Roll box showed up yesterday. I haven't had a chance to really get into it yet, but will try and at least look at it closer tonight.
Mine just shipped. I hope to get it soon!
Mine shipped recently as well.
Mine was shipped, hoping for it to come in this week. I watched a how to video on it, and looks pretty good. Perfect size to take on family trips and easy enough for my kids to grasp.
Now, if they would just hurry up with my copy of Airborne in your pocket...so much drama with that one over the past year.
Mailman just dropped it off...opening it now. The box is pretty cool looking. The cards are good, the dice are nice, and the tokens are thick card stock. I'll have to try this out later.
Mine gets delivered today. Should be there when I get home. Super excited!
I just ordered a large mousepad with the artwork on it to keep track of what dungeon i'm in.
http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1017...tracker/page/3 is the thread on BBG about it, just scroll to the bottom and use the coupon code and only costs $.99 shipped for a large mousepad with http://www.moltenink.com/wp-content/...el-Tracker.png this on it. Pretty sweet deal.
edit: some guy created the image on 8x10 canvas to fold up and put in the box.. http://www.artscow.com/gallery/canva...t-bqdtw0mymxh3
of course none of this is necessary for the game, but will make it easier to keep track of stuff when the wife and kids are playing as well. Our own version of Dragon's Crown in a box LOL
Played a game of Dungeon Roll yesterday. Pretty fun. Easy enough to learn and teach quickly and fast enough to play in 20-30mins. The chest was much smaller than I thought it was going to be haha.
I just submitted an order for that mousepad. Thanks!
No prob!
I reposted the mousepad stuff and someone else suggested the cloth. FYI

There is also this; http://www.artscow.com/gallery/glass...r-uk6pz2hx1es6

it's a 8.5x11 microfiber cloth (the kind you clean camera lenses with). It's good because it'll fold up and fit in the box.

using this code; SCHOOLSALE5
*
You can get it for $5 shipped. Personally I'm torn - I really like rolling dice on mousepad type material, but I like having everything fit in the box.
