So far the only J1 cut is Kelly Herndon? Cmon NFL, pick up the pace. I wanna see Kris Jenkins get cut!:D

Yea... any QBs dream come true! LOL!
If he thought that he had it tough behind Dallas's O-line, he'd have another think coming behind the Raider's overly porous line.
I actually think that Bledsoe is still a decent QB... but he's an absolute pilon and needs at least decent protection. He never got that in Dallas, and the Raiders are 10x worse.
Watching Raiders games and watch the QB with ZERO time was a bad joke last year. I can't ever remember seeing an offensive line perform so badly... I mean it was really ridiculous... no QB can overcome that.
The Raiders need to make some serious moves in free agency for their line... or it'll be another year like last year... minus Moss of course.
And a young QB that they will be grooming to be the franchise QB may have his confidence shattered and his body broken... forever.
I agree...he should go for it.Quote:

I wonder who gave in. Did miami get the 4th rounder or whatever they wanted, or did KC drop the price?

As a Phin fan, I welcome Green to the team. They desperately have needed a quality QB ever since Marino retired. But... now they have to aquire some much better linemen to protect him.
I realize that Green isn't the long term solution. He only has a few quality years left in him. But he's a definite upgrade... especially since Culpepper seems to still be recovering from his knee injury and may not even stay on the team at any rate. Green is a good temporary fix until a better long term solution can be found.
Miami's D is still pretty top notch. And the aquisition of Porter in the offseason helps too. Porter coming off one edge, and Taylor coming off the other aught to give offenses nightmares. They are still lacking a shutdown corner though.
With a good QB, decent recievers and a running back (i.e. NOT Ricky Willaims), they are only really missing better linemen on offense.
This *may* be a decent year for Miami (providing they get help on the O line).
now watch culpepper go to atlanta.... since vick will be suspended, no one else on the market is on his level.
Atlanta already has Joey Harrington!! They need not worry about the QB position.Quote:

No QB could have done well in that situation... not even Joe Montana.
No recievers to throw to. No running game. No offensive line. And constantly playing "catch up" (re: passing on every down) because of no defense.
And yet the expectations were that he was going to come in and single handedly turn Detroit around ALONE.
No QB would have looked good in Detroit in those years.
I was actually unhappy when Miami let him walk. But I didn't see the "bigger plan" of getting Green there. Now it's all good. If I were Miami, I'd be content letting Culpepper sit for a year and rehab his knee if need be.
Mobility is a big part of Culpepper's game. And with a torn ACL, most players are not the same player that they were for at least 2 seasons. My understanding is that Culpepper had his ACL, and two other ligaments torn (i.e. even more problematic than just rehabbing the ACL).
I wouldn't mind seeing Miami asking Culpepper to take a pay cut in the meantime though... I think that'd be fair.
I'd be happy if Miami played Green for a year or two until Culpepper came up to speed. I think that Culpepper could be the long term solution at QB.
I was a Harrington fan for a while, but notice the "was". This is going to sound weird but now that I've seen Kitna lead my team for 16 games, man what a difference. Forget the stats, offensive line, running game, playing from behind, whatever... Joey had little leadership ability. To see what Kitna did with many of the same team mates really brought this to light.
I'm a one of the rare ones, no ill will towards Joey, but at the same time I'm glad he's gone. Probably not as glad as he is to be gone though ;)
Hmmmm.... maybe being a Lions fan you notice the intangibles that don't show up on the scoresheet?Quote:
