Not really, would be a bit slow even for SETI. My Duron 750 averaged 1-1.25 hour intervals, which is 1.5-2.5 days/ WU depending on which one you have. My Mom's P3-850 is a little faster.Quote:

Bilnfon : That's a Genome@home unit. You can turn those off by going to configuration and choosing Folding@home only

OK I did that - now getting 125's (p1013_lzip_273) - have never seen those either. After 9 hours about 65% - do these give decent points?Quote:

I like using FAH LogStats from here, it tell you how many points it is worth and tells you how long it will take to complete. It is really nice if you have multi-systems.Quote:

oh snap, i just made my 23 fold, and 1001 points i thought it would take me forever to get to this mark, feels good next goal, 10,000. hope to hit that one in the next month or so. anyway....:D
Now that the contest is over. How is it possible that I have a lot of WU and I only have about 2400 points?? Other members with same points have less WU :confused:
You are dropping units. This is usually from an unstable OC, but some AMD chips need added vcore at default speed. So back down the OC or add Vcore.Quote:

This past month I had problems with my ISP (only with 1 computer, the one at home). I lose my internet conection every 5 hours or so. Could it because I can't report my progress that I don't receive the points?

it happened to me a couple of times. folding kept restarting every couple of minutes, skyrocketing my WU count. you really have to keep an eye on it. if it's dumping WUs while you're sleeping there's not much you can do about it ;), but try to keep tabs when you can, and if you're dropping WUs lower your OC or increase your voltage, as Thermo said. fortunately you get credit for partially completed work, which is why your production probably didn't just stop dead.
btw, happy NY everyone. :)
Look at the folding log file. If there are units that end before they have finished 100 steps, then you will not get full credit. The unit will count, but you wont get all of the points. This is usually a result of system instability.Quote:

looks like i'll be adding an athlon xp 2100+ to my folding collection on monday if my friend remembers to bring it, however i do need a mother board for it, i think i'll use my current board for the 2100 and get myself a shiny new nf7-s or something for my 2500+ :D then i can become a 3dmark whore again and finally break 20k! haha anyways... yeah i can't wait til i get it, i'm buying the cpu for $40 :D
