Nice, thanks! :DQuote:

These new prescotts run cool compared to the older ones. I can run as high as 4.2ghz and its completely stable at everything. However, it throttles back on me when temps reach about 60c. If you have watercooling you can do it no sweat.

For comparison's sake, my Celly D @ 2.4 GHz takes just under 1 hr per frame on the 600 pt proteins, though only at 90% utilization.Quote:

Speaking of my new backup rig ('CORTANA' in sig), it's folding on a part time basis right now. It will be a ~20/7 folder once I'm done a) fooling with network setup, b) installing and configuring software, c) re-ripping my music collection, and d) finding a stable overclock.
I'd like to go ahead and throw out that my team is in #562, so in about 400 years I will be pwning you guys!#@# :D
WATCH YOURSELF! hahaha.
It's my birthday, forgive me. ;)

Running two of the 600 point WUs on a P4 3.0 GHz, each assigned on different processors (hyper-theading), takes about 55 to 60 minutes per frame. I don't recall exactly, but it seems it took about 40 or 45 minutes per frame running a single console.
Hum I should have a Pentium 2.8A Presscott running by tuesday O/Ced to what ever, and when I find a cheap old 533/400FSB chip I will have that up as well. It will be my folding layers.
Also folding again with my Main A64 rig and Laptop 24/7 or when I am not gaming on my main:D
Vengance, what time per frame do you get on the 600 pointers with your 2.5ghz cpu. My amd64 runs at 2.2ghz, I just wanna compare the times for frames.Quote:

All the 600 pointer protiens are all basically the same speed.
Whe I get one, I will let you guys know. So far I have my [email protected] 24/7, my Pentium M 1.3GHZ 24/7 and my [email protected] 2/47. Soon to be added, a P4 533FSB Northwood(Soon)
Can someone link me the page that shows how many points each WU is worth? The link in the sticky in this forum doesn't work.:( Thanks!

Hey, thought I'd post a quick one here. Been a while since I've been on sharkys, but I have been folding for a couple of weeks again. Took quite a break for a while because of some other programs I was running that pretty much just shut F@H down.
Let's hope a couple weeks turns into a couple years. Welcome back.Quote:

And thanks for the welcome back.
Oh, and I was curious if there were better newer versions. I'm still using 3.25 (that's all I've ever used). Should I go with a newer one? Or just stick with what I got since it works? Thanks again. :)
Woot! Just past the 10k mark.:)
Congrats!
