I dont think I am getting the SSE boost. In my log file all I can see is 3dnow boost. I have both -advmethods -forceSSE flags going and running v4.0 . Am I doing something wrong?
Did you delete the 3.24 from the startup menu and put in a copy of the 4.0 desktop shortcut with the -advmethods and -forceSSE in its place.Quote:

If I wanted to replace anyone with speed... I would just fold on every last machine... I dont fold on machines that I cannot spare the cycles for...

The only other place I know to put it is the desktop shortcut. Also have you right clicked on the tray icon and quit the program then restarted it to see if you get SSEboost.Quote:

what are you doing that would take 100% of the cycles?
Nothing that takes 100% all the time.. But any machine that I fold on take a big performance hit if it is not a HT machine...Quote:

dunno man, everything feels plenty fast here, no different than with folding not running....the only thing i do notice it in is gaming, and i'll pause folding when i play games. now...if you're doing something that already uses a very large portion of cycles, then you may notice more a of a slow down...but for general web surfing and stuff, it should feel every bit as fast...Quote:
