Cool. I'll keep the shield unattached for now, but store a throwing hammer in each arm. I take it I can still keep the hidden chest in my left leg?

I just started grad school and won't have much time. I can't really commit to anything for the next few weeks as I am getting started on my thesis.
We could just put this on hold until everyone's ready to go. Taggart, come live on Long Island, I'll make sure you get plenty of D&D!
I could always try to run a one-shot or two in the meantime if we can get a few interested players.
We should get a one shot going if people are down for it until we can resume the current campaign. I might be able to get 2 of my buddies to join in for a 3 person party.
I've got a quick Pathfinder module I could run... been holding on to it, waiting for the right moment to break it out! If you're not opposed to learning a completely different RPG system, I'll accelerate my study of the rules and roll some pregens.
I'd be down for that, but i would suggest maybe doing a 4th Ed one shot first so people can learn the maptool system. None of them have used it before but they are familiar with the 4th ed rules.
But yeah, 2 of my buddies are in as are one of my buddy's girlfriend (who's a hardcore gamer) and maybe even some other people they know. I figure anything bigger then 5 people total (DM included) might get unmanageable but It's mostly up to you if your DMing. What do you think?
4 players is optimal (not including DM), but I've handled 6 a couple times without issue. Anything more than 6 and I'd imagine the downtime would just be annoying.
I'll come up with something short for a D&D one-shot (I've got a few ideas). I'll let you know when we're good to go.
Setup a new drop box for the other group. I'm excited!
Bump...I"M STILL EXCITED!
I finally completed my summer build: The Black Maiden Sets Sail!
I thought you guys would get a kick out of this. I wish I had time to actually play a session or two on it soon. Maybe I can force some free-time soon.
Here is a picture, but go to the link above for my review and tons more pics:

Pretty cool. Is that an actual dungeon you play on?
THinking about picking up Castle Ravenloft board game and/or D&D Essentials 4th ED.

I got the first Essentials book and I am DMing the next season of Encounters which is Essentials-only and it looks pretty fun. If you're looking to get noobs into D&D, Essentials and the Red Box are awesome starting points. Ravenloft looks like a lot of fun but I passed it up in favor of the other new dungeon crawl board game that just came out, Dungeon Quest.
In fact, would you guys be interested in playing an online version of Encounters s3?
