Well, I at least know what I can get it for until July 4th but I do want it.
The ending (or lack of one) sucks, but the the experience is fun.
I liked the game, but I felt it was devoid of a lot of content that should have been included.
Its funny how much it resembles an MMO, because in a way, it has some of the same faults of a new release MMO, the biggest one which was a lack of content.
The new DLC help but I'm not willing to pay full price yet.
I thought the mechanics of the game were great, but you hit the nail on the head when about the story being very lackluster. There is no continuity or, for me, reason to continue playing other than the fun battle mechanic and loot. But since there really isn't a point in using all my loot for a greater cause or a good story line, I don't have a drive to play. Story is one of the biggest things for me at the moment, unless it is an arcade game but then it only gets 5-10 hours max of my attention.
I had a ton of fun with Borderlands and spent 51 hours with it according to Steam. That was playing through 1 playthrough, some of playthrough 2 and most of the Zombie Island DLC. I just bought the General Knoxx DLC and I intend to beat playthrough 2 before going through it.
General Knoxx is some of the best gaming this side of Giants: Citizen Kabuto and No One Lives Forever.
Borderlands is definitely a great game, well worth it IMO. I'm just wishing the DLC would drop a little more in price before I jump on it, I really wanna play through them (minus Mad Moxxi of course).
General Knoxx has some absolutely great dialog. Two thumbs way up!
I'm hoping for a sale on the DLC during this current Steam sale. Already have Zombie Island, but looking for the other two.
they are on sale, $7.50 each
I am still hoping for either a complete pack or a good 4 pack deal..
