Your extra onboard cache, should give you a little bit of a advantage over my T-Bred, but we shall see. :D BTW, I hope to free up my main rig after the first of the year, when I get two more computers up and running 24/7.;)Quote:

Heck, if my temps stay this low, i might just go to 2.5ghz...i have my thermal probe shoved under the heatsink somewhere...it's only at 38.5C(2.4ghz, 1.94vcore) right now, 12 above ambient....so i might just think about that...;) :D
*cough2.7GhzBarton@250FSB@2-2-2-11cough* :D
yeah yeah...if i had a *coughprometiacough*, i know i'd be higher...;) :DQuote:

Okay, I can change the team number. And definitely send me a PM about the SSE. I had no idea the program supported it, and usually those that do, do so automatically, so I definitely don't have that enabled.Quote:

It should help out the old P3 rig quite a bit.
Folding will automatically use SSE on any Intel cpu that has it, so that P3 isn't going to fly. To use SSE with an AMD cpu that supports it you must DL the beta 3.25. Make a shortcut of the 3.25 and place it in your startup folder; in the target add advmethods and forceasm flags so it looks like this.
https://www.sharkyforums.com/
After these flags are added its probably a good idea to quit the client so you'll wanna wait to you finish your current WU. Delete any Cores in the Folding@Home folder and reboot the machine. When you restart the 3.25beta will start with fresh cores and SSE always enabled.
advmethods requests Gromacs WU's which take advantage of SSE and offer more points over time than the Tinker WU's. forceasm in 3.25beta enables SSE always.
Hold the phone....Just like trying to pass the old 3 car, the pass didn't last.Quote:

But it will. Within 24 hours KaoTik should be 100 points clear of me. He's got something like 11Ghz going. Looks like that top 1K will be tomorrow rather than today; PST
I'm doing OK so far.:)
I've got 10.5Ghz on it now but I've gotta little something in the works that might just put me way over the top.:D:D
Hopefully it will work out for me.:)
gee, too bad your units/score aren't transferred over to a team you join, i'd easily double both the score and WU's for sharky if it worked that way....or does it? i've been doing folding for a little while now under no team designation...either way count me in guys, another 5.8Ghz of "AMD Powah" for Sharky :D ;)

awesome, we should climb the charts even faster now. We might even change to a green team, putting out 3k a day if we're lucky.:D
Yeah I've folded about 29,000 points for 2 other teams.:( Too bad they don't transfer.Quote:

hopefully....all 3 of my rigs run folding almost 24/7. my 2 other rigs (xp1800 @ 1.9 and xp1800 @ 1.6) run 24/7 uninterrupted, but my main rig (in sig) gets a considerable amount of day to day use and i shut folding down when i play q3...don't know why but when folding is running it makes q3 jumpy as hellQuote:

I also shutdown folding when gaming. I have noticed that it does decrease your framerate, although in theory it shouldn't.Quote:

I thinks it fair that the point you accrue for one team stay with the team even if you leave. I also will pause folding if I'm gaming. I believe we will be a 3K a day team before this month's out; we're already a 2K. I realize we haven't hit 2K even but I guarantee tomorrow 11/5 will we

And people still ask why some of us keep dually workstations around
COD plays great when folding - I was worried.
I have about 5000 with one machine pushing WU's :)Quote:

colossus, with all your computers, you could set up a small farm for us at sharky...lol.:D That'd be at least 20ghz wouldn't it?
Yeah I know, but some machines cannot be pulled down by crunching WU..Quote:

I just dont care for crunching WU on every machine :) That is why I only dedicate one or two to it..
EDIT:
Maybe my WU's are adding to that other dude, but the FAQ said that the name is case sensitive.. And I used "Colossus" and his name is "colossus"... I'll give it another shot with a slightly different name and the console over the graphic...
hehehe...we are all pretty close! :) i actually am running mine 24/7. i'm only at 2.075 (166*12.5) so if you go 24/7 with yours you will probably pull ahead... :( hehehe either way...go for it! the team will thank you!! :) and speedy...how many rigs are you running?Quote:
