mindwarper - yeah, and you can bet that during MNF they will pan back to the booth between plays and start vicking us again and make us miss 3 or 4 plays ala madden & michaels with TO... on and on and on not calling ANY action.
I'm sure all the sports writers and talking heads love it. "Man this **** just writes itself." I am already tired of it and I'm sure the story hasn't peaked yet.
Anyone surprized that mnf kept the idiot and got rid of Theissman? He was biased, but at least he knew football. I can't stand the other guy , I forget his name, but he sure is anoying.

As an Eagles fan, I am ecstatic that they dumped a redskins homer for a Philly homer. Jaworski does a good job of being impartial when he has done stuff for ESPN in the past, but when he does the Eagles preseason games, he just loves everything about the team.
I think if they can manage to talk more about the game this year, it will be a big improvement.
I agree 100%.Quote:

He alsways has struck me as someone who flaps off at the lip WAAAAAY to much.
Dan Deirdorf strikes me the same way.
I'm talking about the guy who is a writer who talks more about fantasy football then real football. He is so annoying I turn off the sound. Kornhlio or something like that. He is a total ***. Theissman looked good next to him. At least he talked football. And I did think he improved. I also think Madden is much improved. He is now explaining complex football issues and clearly and in laymans terms, makes them understandable. He used to irritate me a bit. Now I like his goofiness and passion. He is much more informative then before. Him and Michaels are my favorite pair.
Anyone watch nfl and enjoy how sparse the old games are? Why do they need 3 announcers? Two is overkill. Just play the crunchy sounds and grunts from the field. I like hearing the collisions.
i like michaels and madden, it's too bad espn came in and they don't do mnf anymore
Pat Summerall and John Madden.
And then Michaels, Gifford, and Dierdorf (yeh him) were good.
Joe Namath was the worst... he came across like he had been beat about the head too many times.

IMO Aikman is the best right now, and one of the best i have ever heard. He is very impartial, and does not just throw out football old football cliches every 2 seconds. The guy that is with him( Joe Buck I think?) is kinda annoying but not all that bad. He kinda kisses Aikmans butt, but he is tolerable. I guess those 2 are my favorite pair.
As for Thiesman, he may be the worst ever. He just does not make sense half the time, and is you really listen to what he says when he throws out stats and stuff, he is just plain wrong sometimes.
If an Eagles fan can appreciate Aikman then that's saying something. As the analysts go, I always liked Jaws myself.

Jaws seems to be a real X's and O's guy, I think he may have made a good coach, Qb or Offensive coordinator, if he would have went that direction after playing.
I think hoge's career was cut short by concussions, and it shows! Sean Salisbury is another moron. ESPN loves to hire guys who can spout a loud and emphatic opinion, whether or not they actually know what they are talking about.Quote:

I HATE this guy and will either turn the tv if it's a lame game or mute it if it's good, he is to sports announcers what taco bell is to mexican food
