Get it right; Seattle always has a chance to disappoint in the playoffs. Very little competition in that division.Quote:

I would hate it if my team signed Alexander. I maintain he was a decent back behind a great line. Now that the line isnt as good he is exposed. Either way is getting older and I'm sure his ego will make him demand big money. No thanks.
I don't think there's any chance he'll be traded at all; he'll be waived if anything. No team will want his current salary, or to send a pick Seattle's way for him. They'll just wait for him to get cut, but it may not happen until next year.
Maybe Cincy will take him; he grew up near there. Bears, maybe. Either way it's probably all downhill from here for Shaun.
I see the "Decline of Shaun Alexander '08 World Tour" stopping in either Carolina or Chicago next season.

How about those Browns? Nice to see them picking up free agents to strengthen the team. I'm fine with giving up the draft picks to get players that actually performed in the NFL and not taking a chance on a rookie.Quote:

The way we're building up the team, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the brass think we've got what it takes to go deep in the playoffs this season; you don't stack your team up like this to win in a couple years.
I just like being able to hang my Browns flag at work and not feel shame or get harassed by the Bengals fans. I even got a lot of people coming up and talking about them for once.Quote:

Fun time to be a Browns fan. Though if it were me I would be a bit nervous only because of all the free agent team building. Hopefully it will work out for em.
We've only really gone nuts in free agency this season, and I think it's more because of the weak 3-4 defensive lineman draft we're in; the d-line was a huge problem, and free agency was really the only way to address that this year. We've had good drafts since Savage got here (Joe Thomas, Kamerion Wimbley, Braylon Edwards, Brodney Pool, Eric Wright, and Lawrence Vickers were all solid draft picks from the last three years). This is the only year we've really went all-in on free agency.
Diversification is key. I'm a fan of the Ravens AND the Browns. :DQuote:

No...Clevelanders hate the Ravens almost more than the Steelers. That whole Art Modell deal and all.
Yeah, i wasn't even thinking of that when I posted. No one deserves to lose a team, what a gut-punch that must have been.
"Sports Illustrated" agreed.

We swept them last season, actually, which probably ushered in the firing of Brian Billick. Even if it didn't, it was nice.
both games were to nil? i thought ravens first game they got 7?Quote:

and fitzgerald re-signed with the cards, thats good, just need a shutdown cb and some good stratergies and theyre good to go!
cleveland need some strength in defense, in safeties and the ends!!
Naw, we didn't shut them out either time; just winning against them both times was bad enough for them. The second time was Phil Dawson's "No Good/Good/*** Just Happened?" kick that bounced off the scutcheon and back in to the field of play.Quote:
