maybe you should take the arguement in a PM then, as for me, I am staying out. wouldnt want it to get locked either :(
Ya...everyone chill. I'd be really really sad if this thread got locked.
Take it to CF.:D:D
yea, this thread is the glue that holds the video card forum together...
on another note, do you guys think i can get geil pc3200 golden dragon to do 240fsb with a 2.5cl? i just glued a 40mm case fan to the top of my NB heatsink and now i can boot at 240, so if i could get my ram that fast, i should break 21k, right? :D
It should do 240FSB at 5:4 but not 1:1 Maybe FSB220-225 at CL2.5-4-4-8 with added vdimm :)Quote:

great, i can't wait for that stuff to get here so i can test it out. i tried to do a run with my current stuff on 225fsb, but it crashed before the first game i run was over. it was about 11fps faster though...
Not sure if you would break 21k, but a higher score is very possible :) How are you going to get a 240FSB with an AMD? I rarely see those kinds of FSB speeds...
well, i can boot into windows right now at 240x8 and my ram at 120mhz on 8-4-4-3 timings. i'm being very conservative though, and i'm sure i could do 240x10, but my ram doesn't like tighter timings or increased speed at all. i don't know why, but it won't even boot if i set the divider to 3:2...
That is really sweet!!! I would love to see those kinds of marks!!! If you can do it now.. Then it might be either the ram or the NB cooling/voltage...
:crosses fingers: please be the ram, please be the ram... :D
Thank You. BTW, I know how much this thread represents. If forced to lock it and it seems now that's unnecessary ;) it would have only been a temporary thing. Sort of an attention grabber.
Let's all remember to play nice. Some people are looked up by others and should try to set a good example by their conduct IMO.
Wait a minute here.... are you cranking the fsb up and using a divider (ratio) for the ram on a nforce 2?
or just going for 240 on the ram?
pc
we'll see, i don't have the ram yet. if the ram does 240, i'll be amazed and very very happy.
