How's that possible? Was AA/AF enabled? Was everything at stock? I'm pretty sure if I were to get my nephew's Gainward Ti4200, I'd break 10k easily, more like 14k-15k+ with lotsa tweaking! ;) What are the rest of his system specs?:confused:Quote:

Hey guys...just got done building a P4 system and tweaked it for a while last night. Here are the specs. On a side note I don't have the AMD system that I originally joined the team with, but I plan on rebuilding it eventually (still have the mobo, case, memory, ect.) So if you wanna just change my old specs to my new ones that'd be great. Anyway here they are:

How's the score for my setup on air? I'm not sure I can push it anymore hardware wise and I haven't ever benched an Intel machine before, so I'm not sure how to gauge this. Looks pretty decent when I compare with similar setups w/9700Pro. Any input?
Damn, your hardware and o/c are very reminiscent of my old o/c and bench... But my new one's in the sig. Mind you it's not stable by any means of the word. Just can get through 3D Mark fine.

Cool thanks, like I said I don't have any previous experience with current Intel systems (my last one was a Pentium 133!!:eek: ) So it helps to get advice and comments on this one. Hey Chuck232, I'm guessing that memory helped you get your CPU to 3.3Ghz right? I couldn't break 3.06 on mine with Corsair 3200, but I just got some Hyper X 3500 and got it to 3.17. Also what vCore did you run with that?
I'm thining of getting better cooling for the 9700P or maybe selling it and putting in the difference for a 9800P...not really sure yet.
Yeah, before I was stuck at ~3.17G as my max o/c. Now I've pushed 3.3GHz (1.625V) and can probably go further, cause this RAM is a beast. Too bad my CPU doesn't really seem to be up to the challenge though...:( :o

Very nice score:D , but you can do much better. 20K should be withing your reach. My best score with my 9700P was 20173. I had my card clocked at 432/353. To do this I had two extra fans blowing on the VC. 1 120mm on top blowing down on the card and 1 80mm below, blowing accross the bottom of the card. These 2 fans made a huge difference in my overclock of the card. Keep pushing and you will go far with that 9700P
Well, Hell great ball of fire...crap, crap, crap I was just playing around trying to get a little more out of this thing and I think my motherboard and 5900 ultra just went bye bye. Oh well life in the big city. Guess I am off to get another IC7-G and a new 5900 ultra. I just hope it is as good or better that this one was. hummmmm....think I will try the corsair pc4000 any feed back on that memory is welcome!!!!
