I have a xp2500 here frozen will only do 2.4GHz.
But @ 2.4 it gets almost the #s this xp1700 does at 2.7, it just falls short. :(

I slow the card down and it goes faster! :p

Rukee, have you run 3D Mark 2001se, with directx 8.1 instead of 9. BTW good OC on that 1700+.

DX 8.1 works better on the CATS, not sure about the nVidia.. I dont see why it wont :) You can gain about an extra 100 points with just using DX 8.1 over 9.0..

doesn`t the fx5900 need Dx9??

It should run with DX 8.1 or DX 9.0

for w2k and dx8.1 and dx9 they have the same performance in my system

I can find directx8.0 for dnld, but not 8.1. :(

Check out your games and see if they come with 8.1, I have quit a few games that I can install 8.1 off of.
