I predict TF2 may come out someday bundled with Duke Nukem Forever in the $ 9.99 bin..

With all the talk about resolution differences between TV's and monitors it should be noted that both the XBOX and GC will support progressive scan for TV's that can handle it. In other words the new consoles *will* be able to take advantage of HD capable TV sets.
I read that Rogue Squadron 2 at E3 on a flat panel TV with progessive scan enabled looked awsome.
Also I have yet to see any computer monitors hit the 65inch threshold yet. People complaing about how we view the game are missing a huge point. Big Screens! Playing a great game on a sofa with a large TV, 32 or more, with a well designed controller (Zelda OOT) can be a lot more rewarding than playing a PC game in a chair with a 19in monintor.
For those who can afford it, a game system like GC or XBox or PS2, set in a well designed home theatre are in for a treat most PC users couldn't dream of. The Klipsch's 5.1's, while undeniably stunning, don't stand a chance against a *real* 5.1 setup.
With all that said; anyone who is a true gamer has got to be very excited about all the great games and possibilities for games that will be hitting our consciousness within the next five years. Only problem is it's getting a little expensive. 300 for a GF3, XBox or PS2 not to mention controllers, memory cards, broadband... yikes.
Show Me The Money!!!
my friends paernts have a bose set up it cost $1600 and whn he came over to hear me klipsch 5.1 he said they sound better. seem the klipsh are better then you say!Quote:

Of course, I remember reading an article by a microsoft rep saying they are moving toward that. Funny how back then computers werent as powerful as the consoles...Quote:
