Actually, I don't think you can crash planes into buildings anymore. At least that's the gossip I've heard.

Back on to the main comments....Does anyone have FS 2002 yet? If so, where did you get it. I've checked the usual suspects (BBuy, CompUSA, EB, etc.) and no one has it. Some show it coming in 10/18 but last time I checked today is 10/21 and it's still not in yet. Anyone?

I don't think they would.

It's a physics factor in flight, obstacles. I couldn't see the controversy. Look at FPS stuff, amongst the awesome graphics, graphic blood shed, and violence, and what about driving games with pedestrian points. Why FS2002 , would be stripped of it's full use amonst this crowd of games would be a bit of a false balance. Like not allowing a picture of a cow in an encyclopedia, because someone did something bad to someone with a cow.(Alright, I win at dumb analogies)

If they wan't to do this as a gesture though *shug*, nice attempt either way, but whoah...a bit misplaced it seems.

Microsoft makes changes to Flight Simulator



The publisher removes the World Trade Center from its upcoming civilian flight sim in light of the recent terrorist attacks in the US.

GameSpot spoke with Microsoft representative Matt Pilla today about the changes being made to its upcoming civilian flight sim, Flight Simulator 2002. According to Pilla, the only change being made to the game is the removal of the World Trade Center, which was destroyed in Tuesday's terrorist attacks. The complex will be replaced by open space. No changes to the game's collision detection system will be made. Microsoft will also release a patch next week for previous Flight Simulator games that will remove part of the video introduction to the game that refers to an airplane colliding with a skyscraper.

i saw it in a best buy ad in the sunday paper so it's out there for sale. i may hold off on getting it though...right now i would rather save the money towards the $500 Nikon N80 SLR camera....*drools*...
