Nevermind I found it at gamefiles.blueyonder.co.uk.

It only took me 23 Minutes 34 Seconds to Download a 149.3MB file, lol. Must be a fast server! The speed never dropped below 100KB/s! :eek:

Sweet np :). That is pretty fast! On FilePlanet.com I max out my 1.5Mbps connection (174KBps) but then again I wait an hour in line per file :-\

Terry...yes Unreal 2 and Unreal Tournament 2003 both support 1024x1024 textures. I think many people dont know how detailed that is and how much of a hit it will take on a GeForce4. So hard it will make it in-playable hence Mark Rein ("it will take at least 1-2 years upon the games release before a video card comes out that cna have playable frame rates at higher resolutions" - PCGAMER Feb 2002).

No no no you guys dont understand. They built this engine for the future. It comes default at 512x512 whcih will work perfect with the latest and greatest and lower video cards will have to tone down some high quality for medium or low quality to view textures that high. No one is stopping you from changing the textures since they are built in but why bother when no one can run it. It was meant as a future option to add longitivity to the game and MODDERS.

I dont think you guys understand. Quake III & Soldier of Fortune had had 16x16 textures and those looked pretty darn detailed if done right. Half-Life had 8x8. Now think that is a 32x character detail then Q3! Think of how detailed the characters and walls will be folks! @ default that is and at 1024x1024 its 64x the detail as Q3. Do you get where I am coming from now? Nothing is bad you guys are just trippin and need to calm down ;)

Sadly no :(. Most of the info I got was from either IGN, Gamespy, Gamespot (a grip load!) and VoodooExtreme (has 3 old links). Most of the texture and polygon stuff I got straight from Feburary 2002 issue of UT2 featuring UT2 as there main coverline. Info about the engine I found from alot of other sources which I no longer even know of anymore since I reloaded my OS from Win98 to Win2k and lost everything :(.

I understood before but that makes a little more since. I guess people just get upset because they just spent $300+ on a new hardware and a game comes out that they cant run at max madness :)
