And here's the last post of the day. The best thing for a custom CNC machine would be one of these guys. Cheap, and easy to custom mount with most of the engineering done already. Just machine the workholding piece, cutter holder, and some slide bars for it to slide on using the motors.
Now I'm getting bad thoughts in my head. I have the tools, I have the cash, but I think I'll try to wait on this project. Building a CNC plasma cutter seems like a winter project anyway.
