Yeah isn't it true. The 8K3A is a dream with cpu's but certainly there is some room to grow with video cards especially GF4's. I don't know how much of this can be fixed thru BIOS updates but it appears very little

Try the latest Beta BIOS 2612 I think it is. Epox seems to really be improving how far we can push the fsb. People are hitting 235Mhz fsb with the new BIOS's. Although at the same fsb the 2312 is the fastest BIOS, but the 2312 isn't really stable. The best performance vs. overclocking is the 2328, the best overclocking is the latest beta out.

Once my new BIOS chip, I'll be able to fire my rig back up, and now that I have bios savior. I'll give some details. I've been running 9.5x192 with the hardest settings on my ram with 2.8 volts for awhile now.

This is what I want from the kt400 epox mobo... I think this would be #1 mobo no matter what...

Pretty much the way the 8k3a is right now... cept!...

Dual Bios's - Epox releases alot of bios updates to not give us a 2nd one incase something happends.

AGP Voltage - Would be nice to increase the voltage to our vid cards a little, may be able to pull a little more over clocking out of our vid cards. If defaul is 1.5v I would think 1.75 would be nice to have.

PCI Voltage - I don't know if this is possible, but if one our cards is holding us back a little more voltage may be able to help us get through it.

USB 2 - That will happen more and likely

Be able to manually select our dividers, also a 1/7th divider would be nice.

Oh and 8 usb ports!! Yes 8!!!! 4 on the black plate, and 4 optional.

But I think a 1/7th divider would be hella sweet. and the option like I said to be able to chose your divider. I can only imagine with some damn good ram running 266fsb with a 1/7th kicking in at 233 fsb. I would think with some awesome ram people should be able to reach 266fsb (533) then intel can eat there heart out. HEHE

Two, likely the KT400 will have the 1/6th divider but then again the KT333 supposedly already has it too

I don't think the 8k3a has a 1/6th divider... Would be nice but I doubt it.

I'm saying though I know epox could probably do it. If they want to make a board simply to cater to overclockers. Then they need to build like a special version just for us. A 1/7th would be good for bragging rights. Can you imagine running a 233 or 466ddr fsb and all your cards are in spec just fine? :D

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe they can add in AGPV adjust after the fact with a bios update. They tout this board as an OCing mobo, then leave out AGPV adjust. It just doesn't make sense. It has everything else you need to go GTN except that. BTW Saps...what's your 3.3 read?? All of my latest Epox mobos, inc. two P4 mobos read at about 1.57 on the 3.3 Rail and that's with an Antec with the pots cranked up. Just wondering if it's a mis-read by the mobo, or if it's a true read and Epox has just messed up big time? ;)

NVM. It was a MBM5 thing. It was reading the AGP V on the 3.3 in MBM5. If you're running MBM 5 with this mobo, you need to change the 3.3 rail in MMB5 to W83697HF EPoX EP-8KHA to get it to read the 3.3 correctly. ;)

Bingo! Right you are! You might recall I had the same issue; though Sandra still gets it wrong. That 1.57v must be agp voltage.
My -12v is still way off though

Try messing with the settings on your -12 in MBm5...I'm @ work right now so I can't get to it. I don't even set up my -12 in my dashboard, so I have no idea what it's reading. ;)

Yeah I hear ya. Normally I don't even look at it. But since I've fixed the 3.3 issue I was thinking it might be nice to fix the other irregularity

Ya know what tipped me off? LOL I went into the bios and it read the 3.3 perfectly fine...the AGP Voltage was at 1.57....2+2+4 he he.

Yup. Tinkered with the -12 to no avail. Oh well what the heck does -12 do anyway. I'm certainly not worried about it.

The only thing that I know uses -12v is a modem. The -5v is more important to the system.
