Just out of curiousity, Squirrel Meat, what made you join? i thought about going into the service, then thought against it. What made you choose military life?

eh good luck remember you can sneak crackers out of the mess hall by hiding them above your boot bands ;) also even if you think your fast always run with the turtles not the rabbits. oh and invisibility is a usefull trick heh.
Ill PM you my address I'd love to hear from you while your there plus i know all the tricks for mailing in contraband ie candy and good stuff like that ;) taping gum to the cards so it doesnt shake in the envalope and the ever useful fake shaving cream can that actually works.

It has been a pleasure being around you my friend. Please if possible can you make a return post. If the mods allow it that is. I would like to know of your experiences of boot camp due to the fact I might sign up next year but too scared to ;).

Good luck man, there aren't too many folks like you willing to fight for our country. And I have the utmost respect for all who have served throughout this nation. My grandfather, all of my Uncles, and my cousin have served this country, and I too am thinking about it. Make sure the second you get out of boot camp you give us the whole deal. Also do not watch Full Metal Jacket before you go! you will probably have second thoughts! Oh and my 3rd set of 560's blew! Yeah!:D
Good luck man, and much thanks for serving our country. You will be in my prayers. Let us know if you're still alive ;) when you get out of bootcamp.
We will pray for your safety return.
Here are tips before you go:
1. Practice and learn everyday, while you are there.
2. Dont eat junk food, such as McDonald.
3. Dont forget to brush your teeth 2x a day.
4. In case of contact, remember to Duck, gun spraying and pray.
5. If you are out of ammo, try to throw your gun at the enemy. See if it kills.
6. Lastly, Change your underwear everyday. (This is the most important thing to do in military)
And to prepare for the worst case, we already ordered a COFFFIN just the right of your size. :D

Good decision on your part, I spent 8 years in the Marine Corps myself. Boot is tough, but it won't kill you. Hang in there and remember the real fun starts after Boot Camp. Semper Fidelis and go earn the title! By the way, what MOS are you going for?
