I would think it would be easier to implement on SATA. From what I hear it is a lot closer to SCSI than IDE is. I could be wrong. But yes we are still not even reaching ATA66 speeds. Althoug it looks like I surpass ATA66 for half a second or so on my WD drive :) It could use the boost in access time that 10K drives would offer.
