The way I do it is like this. I create a folder called Seti. I DL the 3.03 command line version and place it in the folder. Then I DL Setidriver and decompress it into the same folder. Create a shortcut on the desktop to Setidriver and hit the shortcut to start things rolling. The first time you run SD, you set your cash to the number of stored work units that you want, and set it to auto transmit. It will then start DLing the work units and ask for you account address. After that it is all automatic from there.

man...u lucky pplz wit p4...i got my p3 600mhz wit 512 ram..and it takes me like over 30 hours...lol...feck u all...j/k...lol
I have a P II 300 that is a router; it puts out a unit a day. It’s not what you put out that counts, it’s the fact that you participate at all. Perhaps we should start a Seti guild or something around here. It is one of the better long term bench tests that can be had for free.Quote:

I would not think a P3-600 would be that much slower than a p3-800. My server takes about 8.5 hours. I don't do WUs on it because I'm all about the stats :) I leave the p4 doing it at night and while I'm at work.Quote:

There is a Seti Guild of sorts over at BSForums. Over there we have Daily Team Stats, sometimes Overall Team Rankings and other stuff. The thread is stickied and has 1500 posts and 75 pages long.
BTW, Galen is the founder.
Edit: My WU times range from 2:50 to 3:40. This is with an XP clocked at 1.6 GHz.

Our Black Sheep Team is shooting for higher goals. What can I say? We're a group of SETI Whores! :D We have people putting out 20-40 WU a day. Yesterday, our top two producers put out 86 WU.
[EDIT] Oh yeah! My PIII700@864 (124 FSB on a BH6 rev 1.01) is popping out WU's in the range of 5.5-7 hours. [/EDIT]
LOL, Whoreing is a paying profession, I think addiction would be a better description. I look in on both of those teams from time to time. I check the Sharky team just to make sure that they aren’t catching up to the little team that I’m on.Quote:

And I look in on you guys too. I like to see who I'm gaining on, and who is pulling away. 40 to 50 a day is a lot of units, 80+ is insane! I’ll just keep pluggen away and see who I can catch. I still think we should start a guild or something here on the forum. We have an Overclocking (org?), and a Cooling guild. So we need some type of Seti something or other.
I am running at about 3:15 to 4:15 when clocked at 1.47 and a bit faster when oced. I just want to know how many pcs you got running seti to be doing 40-50 WU's a day?
